Ah Seah Teochew Porridge is now in Teck Chye Terrace which is in the Kovan area (previous buidling was demolished) and served very nice Teochew porridge dishes. Teochew porridge are plain and simple food stuff and can be comfort food for some. The food dishes range from salted eggs, squid, vegetables, steamed fish, meat, bean curd, braised duck and many more. Mrupupup loves plain, watery and hot porridge. It is just right for comfort food. The prices for the place is not too expensive as compare

The Teochew Porridge meal was rounded off with a nice cold 'Cheng Teng' drink. All very nice and simple.

My gf recommended me this stall for dinner. There was already a queue when we got there but we did not have wait very long. Anyway, I was thankful there was a queue cos' it took us quite a while to decide on the side dishes!!! (There was a large variety of side dishes to choose from!) We ordered the following side dishes:"La La" - My gf's the sole consumer of this side dish and since she said nothing special, I suppose it's just average.Fishcake - It's really different from those found in fish

My gf recommended me this stall for dinner. There was already a queue when we got there but we did not have wait very long. Anyway, I was thankful there was a queue cos' it took us quite a while to decide on the side dishes!!! (There was a large variety of side dishes to choose from!) We ordered the following side dishes:

"La La" - My gf's the sole consumer of this side dish and since she said nothing special, I suppose it's just average.

Fishcake - It's really different from those found in fishball noodles. It's not so springy! Pretty good, I must say!

Tofu - It's not bad, though I have expected the toppings to be soft floss. However, it turned out to be something like dried shrimps. Still clueless what that is....

Preserved Vegetables - This side dish can never go wrong!!! Lovely!!! Would order more of this next time!

Curry Chicken - The curry gravy was so good! My gf and I were slurping the gravy towards the end of the meal!

Minced Pork and Fish - I thought it was the usual pork ball (I usually call it "brain") but it doesn't taste like it's totally pork! I suspect that it has been mixed with fish, which kind of dampens the taste of the "brain"! Would still prefer the authentic "brain"!

The servings above were decent, compared to one of my previous reviews on another porridge stall in Bukit Merah. I would have also rated the "Environment" slightly higher, if not for 1 wierdo sitting near us and giving us a strange stare throughout our dinner. We didn't even stay longer for drinks!

You may pop by to try this stall if you're in the vicinity (and probably see the wierdo! Haha!). Btw, I saw some signages on some stalls indicating that they're moving out soon! Didn't catch the new location though!

(Btw, the photos taken reflect reduced portions! Cos' "Urs sincerely" often chomp down food first, then remember to take photos! ;D)
