My friend suggested Bella Pizza for dinner. Well, first thing came to my mind was “BELLA PIZZA”??? Is there any “EDWARD PASTA”?? Ok, I know I’m terribly lame. Oh, but they do have Bella Pasta. Was browsing for reviews and this place seems to have very high reviews, serving good Italian food! So, here we go, a table reservation for 5 on a Friday night. We decided to order 2 pizzas and 2 pastas to share, so that we can save some space for desserts/drinks somewhere else. Looking at the menu, they classified their pizzas into Red Pizzas, White Pizzas (think it’s out for me), Folded Pizzas and The Sicilian Boats…interesting.Barca Siciliana Con Bufala E Prosciutto – S$26.00The Sicilian Boats…interesting. It’s their speciality. Pizza boat with tomato and buffalo mozzarella, wrapped in Parma ham. I only had a bit at the end, as most of the mozzarella is in the centre. Yummy!Pizza Procuitto E Funghi – S$23.00One of the Red Pizzas, which I suppose will be tomato based, with mozzarella, cooked ham and mushrooms. Not really a fan of mushrooms because of the smell, but this is acceptable to me.Spaghetti Alle Vongole – S$22.00Love it! Spaghetti with clams in white wine sauce. It’s a pity, the sauce can be slightly more. Well, it’s just my personal preference. There were times when I had this dish in other restaurants, I may occassionally bit some sand/grits here and there, which really killed my appetite. I don’t feel it here at all, it’s properly washed and cleaned.Linguini Ai Frutti Di Mare – S$24.00I will usually ordered Seaffod pasta simply because I’m a seafood lover + it’s tomato based. Their linguini comes with big prawns, scallops, squid and clams in a rich seafood-tomato sauce. WOOOOO….We were all too full for desserts. What a pity, I saw Tiramisu in the menu. Am definitely coming back to try. continue reading

Peroni - an Italian Beer which is refreshing & fruity. Makes a good aperitif choice!Avocado Mango Salad - Healthy Greens & Fruits tossed with a light dressing.Bruschetta - Nicely chopped tomatoes on crispy baguette slices. Not too heavy on the stomach. The Sicilian Boat - Hard Toasted Bread with ham slices sitting on a cheesy base. Very Tasty!Pizza Mascarpone - Crust is neither too thick or too thin, just nice. Generous toppings of mushrooms and evenly spread out melting cheese.A Folded Pizza with nice ingredients inside. Nice mix of tomato, mozzarella, cooked ham & mushroom.Tiramisu - an irresistable chilled dessert! Soft layers of tiramisu with cocoa powder dustingAmaro - An after dinner digestif. Italian herbal liqueur with a bitter sweet flavour. Advised to take it all in one gulp. Great feel! continue reading

I ordered the Mascarpone pizza There's mascarpone cheese, mushrooms & truffle oil. The mascarpone cheese was soft, rich & the distinctive aroma of truffle oil never hurts. The crust was thin & crispy &perfectly delicious on its own. Also tried their pasta but the pasta was a bit undercookedsauce &sausage was quite tasty & creamy we had the crepes with mascarpone, nutella & banana. It was very tasty & good combination of it As we never make any reservation, when we went it was full house,so we waited for almost an hour to get a slot,we learnt our lesson that we need to make reservation next time Overall i rate 8/10 continue reading

e decided to pop down to Bella Pizza, We learnt our lesson and made a reservation in the afternoon. We started with a salad of bocconcini, cherry tomatoes and rocket to share. This was quite a tiny portion but it was only $7, after all. Nothing spectacular, One of their specialities is a boat-shaped pizza, the Barca. It comes in two flavours – one with Italian sausage and sautéed onions, and the other with buffalo mozzarella wrapped in Parma ham. We each had the banana crepes with mascarpone cheese and nutella – this dessert is just too good to shareI like the pizza here but a bit expensive continue reading

Aunt brought us out for pizza at Bella Pizza and once I stepped inside, I realized I've eaten here before!! We have a group ranging from 6 months to 84 years old so we tried to vary our orders... Hee... 1) Parma ham with chef selected cheese salad - funny thing was that my aunt wanted the Parma ham pizza but ordered this instead! Anyway, Parma ham cheese salad is always nice, and theirs was nice indeed. 2) 4 cheese pizza - generous with the cheese and lovely taste 3) Pizza Bella Pizza - it's their signature dish so I ordered one and it's indeed tasty. 4) 'Seafood' Pizza - they don't have this on the menu but my BIL don't take beef so we asked for one specially made. 5) Italian Sasuage Pizza - another beef-less pizza which my Sis asked for it to be made into a 'ship'. It's basically a pizza base that's pinched at two ends to shaped into 'ship'. Cute design and still taste good. But the ends of the 'ship' had the dough too thick and crusty. If you like chewy dough, then go for it!! 6) Carbonara - for the old lady. She didn't fancy any pizza so she had one. She liked it enough. Not likely a place I'll return but if I'm in the area and craving for pizza, why not? continue reading
