The outlet was located unable the HDB block, taking over the space from a cafe. Following the current Korean trend, the outlet offers bingsu, toast, cakes and drinks. What made it different from others was that it was opened 24 hours, which meant that one can have bingsu in the morning. The place was packed even for a weekday night. One had to get a queue number from the cashier for a table, who will in turn write down your queue number and the number of people. Just take a seat outside and wait for the staff to call you. There was free wifi and password was written on a tag at the counter. The TV screen at the counter was showing well known Korean drama "Descendants of the sun". There was also korean music in the background. Coupled with the noisy crowd (mostly office type females), the place was super noisy and giving me a headache. The place was decorated in a simple white bright way. After placing the order at the cashier, one would given a pagar which would ring and light up when food is ready.Injeolmi Bingsu ($14)It's milky flavoured snow ice topped with soya bean powder, almond slices & Mochi cubes. I'm surprised that inside the snowy shaved ice, there's layers of soya bean powder. The smooth finely shaved ice simply melted in the mouth. Not too sweet. Although I wish that the Mochi was softer. It was hard and chewy off the shelves type. Not the soft stretchable homemade type. continue reading
