I heard that Bongo Burgers outside Jurong Bird park sells Lamb Burger, which other burger joints in Singapore seldom sells.I went to Bongo Burgers after work, since it was not far from my workplace. The fastfood restaurant was quite empty at this time. I ordered the Lamb Burger at $12.The Lamb Burger was made when ordered, so I was given a table tag and went to find a seat to wait for my order. The wait was about 10-15 minutes. The Lamb Burger serving was quite big. There were many freshly fried hot wedges, though the taste was same like those from supermarket frozen ones. The lamb burger had a big minced lamb meat patty. But to my disappointment, the lamb patty was not as juicy as expected, it was slightly dry and tasted heaty. Overall, the lamb burger was not as good as expected. The price of meal was also high for a fastfood restaurant. continue reading

Experienced bad food and service here. I guess we don't have much options, because Bongo Burgers is the only restaurant near the Bird Park which didn't have much people.Beautifully decorated, the restaurant replicates the Bird Park's atmosphere by having some statues of the animal. They include yellow lighting so that it will not be so glaring, and I guess one of the effects is to open up our appetites so that we can eat more. It's largely spacious as not many people were eating there at about 11.45amThis is the free ice-cream that they'd give if you're having your birthday on that day (and a free entry to the park)! I ordered Fish & Chips, which is the worst that I've ever eaten. The reason why it's not nice because the flour, the crispy outer-layer is too thick and there is too little fish meat in it. The fries weren't hot, and the sauce was too bland. Although the staff would serve you by sending the food to your table, the gusto that they give were kind of rude. They didn't give us utensils as well. I guess it depends on who serves you, perhaps the service crew had PMS that day. Anyway it's a great place to chill out and study, but not to eat their food. I don't think I can judge the overall food quality of the restaurant because all I ate was the fish & chips. continue reading
