Usually i will order the beef noodles but on this particular occasion i decided to try the mixed beef set instead, i.e. the mixed parts dry version without noodles, downed in the thick gravy. Was having the kok hee noodles so to have this mixed set as a side dish is a perfect combination. With this set, we get to also try other beef parts, i'm not too good at describing though but it sure leave me wanting for more. In fact next time, i may want to order this set with plain white rice. It was moved from Bugis a decade ago to this food centre. Long queue can be anticipated during lunch and dinner. I do not take internal parts so i only go for the beef slices. Nicely cooked thick bee hoon was served in thick gooey braised sauce with tender beef slices. The texture of the beef balls was a tad disappointing like those of machine made. It is still worthy a try as this is one of the better tasting beef noodle in Singapore.

A delicious bowl of beef noodle can be found here. And, if you come during lunch then a constant queue is to be expected. Whenever i am here, i always looking forward to eating this bowl of white vermicelli noodles nicely tossed in a thick sauce with slices of beef. A flavorsome hot soup will be served along with this bowl of beef noodle. The only pity is the beef ball is not handmade, it tasted just like those readily available beef balls in the supermarkets. No matter, it's still worth trying

This is the only stall I will patronize whenever I chance upon Lavender Food Square. The lady owner can be a bit grumpy at times, but her tasty kway teow soup kinda compensate for that. There's dry/soup versions, and pure meat or mixed innards. My recommendation is the soup version with mixed innards. No doubt it's sinful, but good food are usually sinful!Be careful of the chilli though. It is extremely spicy and is only recommended for the adventurous ones.
