This bakery shop definitely is quite huge in size.and many choices of bread and cake available here.  The service here is quite friendly and fast as well.  I have bought their raisin bread to try which is only at $1.80 per packet.  Bread is soft and moist and lots of juicy raisins can be found inside. Great to eat it on its own. continue reading

For so many years, this bakery at the Toa Payoh Hub is always so popular, even there is a number of other bakeries nearby. This outlet is always very crowded with queues. The staffs are forever busy refilling the display shelves. Most items are priced about $1.40. I have bought a mushroom chicken puff which costs $1.50 each. Service is quite fast at the counter. The puff pastry does not crispy enough for my liking. The filling inside is quite tasty. continue reading

While Cake History sells bread, this branch also sells fruit juice. Instead of considering the fruit juices on the signboard, you should consider the "Juice of the day". At first, I thought it was just one type of juice a day, but it turns out that the ones that are displayed and ready to go are the juices that they are referring to.It really saves on money (approx $2 a cup) and it's fruit juice that you can hear them blending behind. They usually have soursop or lime juice and those are my go to choices. I used to frequent the bubble tea shops around the corner, but upon discovering this gem, this is my go to place to get a drink after a meal at toa payoh hub The lady is also quite patient in waiting for you to choose your drink and I saw once that she helped poke the straw in a customer's cup after the customer's request without giving any weird or dirty looks. continue reading

The bun taste very normal, or should I say it is just a very very normal bun that one can get easily get.The ham also taste like those commercial sold ham, but something worth mentioning is that it does not taste salty. The mashed egg, once again, taste like those normal mashed egg bun sold in other bread chains, but since I was craving for mashed egg, this does the job quite well, smooth and peppery, and quite a lot mashed egg fillings too . Overall, this bun is enough to satisfy my craving for mashed egg. continue reading

It is often said that history will not repeat itself but at cake history, they seem to be futuristic orientated...So i guess they make the cut of a good lesson learnt... They have unique breads which are delicious and tastes really awesome...One evening after work was headed there to buy some buns and as usual i had one of my favourite buns... Its actually a sandwich... The egg and ham sandwich that is partially fried and yea taste really good... I also bought a cheesecake from that place... It was really good... Tasty and light... not so rich and it tasted pretty decent... Go cake history fly.. fly... continue reading
