Everytime I come down to Singapore, I always think about the delicious vegetarian food in Hougang. I miss the food in this restaurant very much. I quite like their yong taufoo. But the highlight is the yam basket (Buddha bowl) filled with cashew nuts, capsicum and mock meat. Simply yummy and satisfying! I also quite like the tom yam noodles. I would say the best I have tasted so far. continue reading

Whenever my 5th aunt and family are back from New Zealand, we will go on a makan spree! Haha. Regardless old or new joints! We love to eat. For this particular vegetarian eatery, the roti prata was strongly recommended. I only tried a bit cause the fried bee hoon i had already made me very full. And surprisingly the prata is indeed pretty good. The normal curry is ok but mutton one tasted kind of weird. For the fried bee hoon, it was really too bland for my liking! But the accompanying items i chose to go with it taste nice. So maybe that's why they make the fried bee hoon more bland so the contrast in taste will be better. continue reading

Vegetarian day. 1st & 15th of the month, will try to drop by this shop at hougang for a good taste vegetarian meal.I order the vegetarian kway chap. Look like the normal kway chap you see from food centre.Cost $4.50. You can get a mix of items (vegetarian style) and a bowl of the flat noodle.Taste of the items is more like flour with sweet taste.the kway chap noodle is also sweet. Soup base is a mixture of some herds in it.Really smooth soup taste. Will come back for more of their items to try. continue reading

This vegetarian stall here sells a variety range of delightful dishes! They charge very cheap and portion is generous - these two major factors have attract long queues on all days during morning hours. Their chilli sauce is also very impressive as well. love their vegetarian mixed vegetable curry and their deep fried popiahs, two thumbs up! My verdict: 7/10 Do check it out! continue reading
