Black Pepper Chicken Pie Don's Signature Chicken Pie Kueh Lapis
Review (5)
It was a surprise breakfast from our superior. Perhaps our hard work is finally appreciated or we complained too much for our efforts. Anyway, we were happy when we received it.All of Don’s creations were made from premium, fresh ingredients and were prepared without preservatives. Its trademark chicken pie was the best seller dish. Measuring nearly 9 inches in diameter, Don's Chicken Pie was filled generously with peppery chicken, of course, accompanied by steamed potatoes, mushrooms, green nuts and corns. Personally I like the hard-boiled eggs outstandingly placed just under the top-crust. Eggs successfully enhanced the pie’s solidness. It was really irresistible. continue reading

I am not quite a fan of their pies but i wouldn't mind getting one to go if happen to be near any of their outlets. I prefer the original flavor to the black pepper. The black pepper taste tends to be a little overwhelming to my liking. It is a little pricey at $18.00 for a whole original chicken pie. An additional $1 for the black pepper flavor. The ingredients in the pie were carrot, potato, corn, chicken bits and slices of boiled egg enclosed in the light and buttery flaky pastry. This is still one of the better chicken pies around though not the best. continue reading

All along i did not know that don sells cake until i had to get a cake for a friend's birthday and chanced upon it. It was reasonably priced at $3.50 a slice and initially i wasn't having any high expectations of it but when i took the first bite of it, i was sold. It was very rich and had a light taste to it such that you would not even feel sick of eating it. The more you eat the more you want to have another slice of it right away. Yet another cake that impresses me well. continue reading

This used to be one of my favourite pie which I have eaten years ago at their suntec branch. They even opened another branch at Parkway but it did not sustain for long before it closed down. Suntec branch was also closed now soon after that. Finally got to see it at Vivo City while I was shopping around. Bought the black pepper and shepherd's pie this time. Was rather disappointed as the standard seemed to have dropped. The fillings were dried but the favour is still the same. Still can find chunks of chicken meat in the pie, which is very filling. The pie is best comsumed when it's hot. continue reading

Had a farewell lunch for our ex colleague. Their delivery was punctual. They provide us with tissues and utensils. How nice!We ordered the 3-4 boxes of Shepperd Pie and the famous Claypot Crab Bee Hoo and cheesecake too! We had the normal chix pie and the black peper chix pie as well. I much prefer the normal one. There was too much pepper for the other pie. Everyone enjoyed the claypot bee hoon! We ordered like 3 sets of it and it was all gone within 45 minutes! Finger licking good! This is good for a a company lunch take out. If im not wrong, they do not have any pork or lard in their menu. Cost us like $250+? Next time if you wanna host a picnic outing or chalet you might wanna consider ordering this! continue reading
