for photos and more reviews, visit http://thelittlemomentsofmylife.blogspot.com/ (:we were served a complimentary plate of crispy, lightly seasoned bread with an accompanying mayo-ish kind of dressing. i actually liked the bread without the dressing! it was tasty on its own (:the tuna and capellini was a really delicious and healthy looking pasta! (: look at the amount of veggies, so yummy! the tuna sashimi was delicious - tender, with some bite to it and so fresh. even steph who HATES sashimi said it was not bad! which means it had to be really good xD the capellini was smooth and al dente, simply wonderful.the pepperoni pizza was a contrast to the spaghetti. it was meaty. just carnivorous xD it was beautifully seasoned with herbs that complemented the strong flavour of the pepperoni and the chilis added a fiery kick to the dish. the bread was nicely crispy and thin, so that it wasn't too filling.finally, we had the char-grilled sirloin steak wrap. this was simply oozing with juice from the beetroot then went perfectly with the medium-rare steak. the meat was really tender and delicious. and don't get me started on the fries! i nearly polished off the entire pile single mouthed-ly haha i just invented my own word. anyway, it was all thanks to the wasabi mayo that came with it. absolutely yummmmmmy.

The FoodI ordered the Chicken Leek Pie and Seafood Marinara pasta. The chicken leek pie is superb as the chicken and leek was stewed till it is nice and soft. The gravy has absorbed the essence of the chicken and leek hence making it very rich and tasty and goes extremely well with the puff pastry. Next will be the Seafood Marinara pasta which is cooked pretty good and the texture of the pasta is just nice and the seafood ingredients are also fresh. The pasta also has a strong and sweet seafood taste and seafood lover will definitely like this. The PriceReasonably priced at $30++ for the whole billOverallI will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this !!

This place has to have one of the weirdest layout for a restaurant. Tables are lined outside the actual "restaurant shop" and inside the air-conditioned area, there are only place for a few tables. The rest of the space is for a large bar area. Not exactly very cozy and it is not easy to find (behind the church at waterloo). I tried the crusted salmon pasta and it was average. The salmon was alright but the pasta wasn't very flavorsome and pretty oily. Not recommended.

I know the food from Fine Palate through some corporate events I've been to in the past. And am now excited that anyone can go to their new restaurant on Waterloo street to eat the same delectable dishes once only exclusive to high-end corporate events. The owner, Heather Barrie has become famous for her high-end cuisine over the past 20 years here and it's to see she is offering her superb food to the general public. Without the high-end price tag!I've been several times now and have never been disappointed. The servings are more than you would find anywhere else, and the quality of the ingredients feels like you're eating at a 3 star Michelin restaurant. The steak wraps are fantastic. Succulent slices of perfectly cook steak wrapped in a tortilla with hummus, beetroot, lettuce and other fillings. And the wasabi manonaise is awesome. The pizzas are great as well. Thin crust with gourmet toppings. Most of my guests ordered the tuna capellini salad which was sushi grade tuna on top of japanese noodle with a light dressing.Sunday brunch is great atmosphere here and probably one of few places that get the eggs just perfect for their Eggs Benedict. The bread, chips and everything else is all homemade as well. You can certainly notice that the 20 odd years of high-end catering for luxury brands and major corporations has been transfered to this flagship restaurant.I'm taking more clients there for business lunches.
