This is actually an Indonesian delicacy, which is essentially a glutinous rice roll filled with spicy dried shrimp and wrapped in a banana leaf. Sort of like an Indonesian sushi! One of my favourite snack from this confectionery! I had these ondeh ondeh cold from the refrigerator which were still awesome as oozing gula melaka was pure shiokness! The kueh dadar here is highly recommended by many and it really lived up to it's expectation! The coconut flakes are white in colour instead of the usual brown. The skin is soft and I love the generous amount of moist coconut flakes inside!
These sweet potato huat kuehs have a very soft and fluffy texture!
I didn't plan to buy this but the lady in front of me ordered like 10 of those! I got one to try but sadly, it was nothing to rave about. Anyway, there really is alot you will want to buy from this shop and I find myself controlling the urge to get so many kuehs! I will definitely be making more trips to this confectionery! ;)
