The FoodAt first I wondered why they called the stall name as Grandma Mee Siam? Is it because the owner is grandma who cooked the mee siam and when I went there, I did not saw granny there. Probably the name is to let customers think that the mee siam is cooked with grandma taste. I ordered the normal Mee Siam and the gravy taste just nice, not too sour or spicy. The bee hoon is fried just nice too. The bad point is the portion too small for me at $2 and not even filling at all.The ServiceWaiting time is acceptable at less than 10mins during lunch hoursThe AmbienceTekka hawker center is one of the stuffiest market and everytime went there will perspire .The PriceValue for money at $2 per plateOverallI will definitely come back again to try the Ngoh Hiang as recommend by my friends to see if is really good.

I was eating my lunch with my colleagues at Tekka Market just now. I discovered another must-try stall. Grandma Mee Siam stall was located at central of Tekka Market, selling Fried Side Dishes, Mee Siam and normal Fried Noodles or Meehoon. Ladyboss was friendly, chatting with me while I was waiting the Mee Siam.Simple taste, just like tradisional Mee Siam I tasted before. Boiled egg, Dried Tofu and Sambal added inside, I like the gravy most. Reasonable price, $2.00 per plate but the portion was quite small.

I came to Tekka market with my cousin. She happened to know the stall owner of this stall. She told me that the Mee Siam and Ngoh Hiang were very famous, ought to try. We ordered a plate of Mee Siam and a few selection of the Fried Ngoh Hiang. Total cost $8.The Mee Siam was indeed very good. I could see that they have quite a number of patrons. To me, this Fried Ngoh Hiang was not so good. The fishballs didn't look 'clean', a lot of black spots like char on them. I suspected that the oil they used to fry the fishballs was not very clean. Nothing fantastic about it's taste.
