The last review marked was about a year ago and Hoe Sheng Taman Jurong still remains as my No. 1 porridge stall in whole of Ayer Rajah Food Centre. Their friendly and efficient service is what I'm happy with followed by the joyful tall uncle who always carry a smile.

A recent notice was that they were no longer using serviettes at the base of the bowl. Not to worry, that does not mean that the standards of the quantity and quality of their bowls porridge follow suits.

Bowls of porridge were still yummy as ever packed with fragrance. Spring & fried onions were used as well. For those who wants a stronger taste, pepper and soya sauce are provided and served right to our table too.

While most of the stall would charge additional for egg added, Hoe Sheng offers customers a flat rate of $2.50 for their porridge even with or without egg added.

Century egg & Lean Meat porridge was a perfect choice for lunch with cut You Tiao adding crunch to the bowl of salvoury porridge. The century eggs were fresh with tender lean meat well marinated which sums up my meal.

If you are looking for yummy porridge, I suggest that you should not miss out Hoe Sheng's yummy porridge. They do have porridge with shredded chicken, fish or even pork.

Cost: $3

Food
Mix Pork Porridge is my favourite among the porridge that this stall sells. The good thing is that the porridge is not too watery and its meat balls are well seasoned, pork liver are not too hard. Come with you tiao and egg as well. Everything costs $2.50. I find it interesting that for every bowl of porridge i order, the uncle will place a hand towel below the bowl.

Service
Operated by 3 workers. one of the elder jovious uncle will be serving the customers while the rest will prepare the food. Uncle will serve to your seat. However, I often self service as I sit another corner of the hawker centre.

Price
$2.50 with egg is worth a bowl of porridge.
