Dragged my girlfriend to Hot Tomato for Express Food...last evening. From the menu hanging outside, we thought the price is reasonable, so we went there to try out the place because we were really attracted by the menu and prices. The place is almost 100% full. Service was fast, cordial and generally quite prompt. They served bread & tomato soup and I actually found it quite nice. The steak arrived and I must say that my steak was medium well. I have no complain about the food as the taste is good and the cut tender. The drinks are nice too! My girlfriend agreed happily and enjoyed her dinner.

Strictly speaking, pasta is not their main dish here. However, almost every main course comes with a delectable serving of silky smooth aglio olio spaghetti, enough for a mini-meal on its own.

Total bill is only $40.95 inclusive of service charge of $3.48 and GST of $2.68. Wonderful...

Conclusion: Although the place is rather small, must try their lamb chop, Steak, king prawn and lovely aglio olio pasta (Not Bad). Lovely meal with lovely price...=)

Lunched at Hot Tomato Express and tried their aglio aglio. Not bad! Very tasty and the spaghetti was very well cooked. Not too soft like some which I have tried. Their prawns are very fresh too! Found it a little too spicy though. Could have been better their soup of the day is good to! Cream of mushroom soup, nothing like those canned soup

Hot Tomato but where's the tomato?

Located at basement 1 of Plaza Singapura, we are attracted to go in because of it's bigger seating capacity as compared to the rest of the food joint stall that only allowed 2 - 3 people to sit down and eat. Tomato can be found everywhere in the photos of the dishes inside the menu and even the ceiling is a big, giant tomato. However, when the dish was served, we don't see any tomato inside. We convert our main to a set and gotten a soup of the day and drinks. The soup of the day is mushroom soup and when we wanted to change it to tomato soup, they say it's not allowed but both soup cost the same in the menu. So inflexible. The mushroom soup is rather blend but the garlic bread saves the day. It's yummy and soft.

 Had Mixed Grill 'N' Aglio Olio at $12.90. It's a fantastic mix of three of their best seller meat which is pork chop, teriyaki chicken and bratwurst sausage and together with aglio olio. Quite valued for money as I can taste 3 different meat at the same time and the portion is just right. Sausage is topped with delectable brown sauce and they also give extra. Pork chop is quite dry. Terriyaki chicken is delicious. The Aglio Olio is also a little too blend. Can't taste the olive oil. Added some salt to make it more flavourful.

The Tiramisu sliced cakes at Hot Tomato Express taste alright. At only $4.80 nett, it is consider to be priced reasonably. However the service here still need to have further improvement. The sponge is soft but a bit too sweet. The coffee and chocolate taste for this cake taste alright, infact not too bad. Great to order a cup of the fresh brewed coffee or tea to go along with this tiramisu cakes. My verdict: 6.5/10
