Mee Siam Smile Apr 06, 2014

This stall mee siam not only is cheap ($3.00) and the portion is generous as well.  The dining environment here is quite spacious but is warm.  THe stall uncle is very friendly and fast in service.  For their mee siam, really nothing to complain about.  Orange bee hoon is chewy and flavourful, with the chilli and spicies flavour in it.  The added bean sprout added that extra crunchiness to this yummy dish.  The gravy is thick and yummy and also like the sambal chilli which is very spicy and suit my taste.

Roasted Chicken rice OK Apr 03, 2014

Categories : Food Court | Chicken Rice

This was one of my favourite chicken rice stall as the service from this stall is always so warm and friendly.  Moreover, I am always been grateful that the portion served here are always so generous and value for money.

For the price of $4, the chicken rice is very fragrant and not too oily.  THe chicken meat is very tender and juicy, and also the roasted chicken skin is very fragrant too.  The garlic chilli sauce is very spicy and flavourful which goes very well with the chicken meat.  Foodcourt is cooling but quite warm here.

Wanton Noodles Smile Mar 31, 2014

This wanton noodle stall is very popular here at this Toa Payoh area, and always have queue during meals hours.  The stall is small but is clean and neat.

The uncle here is very friendly and fast in preparing the food.  I had their signature wanton mee dry which the noodles are very chewy and fresh, portion is reasonable as well.  The char siew meat is tender and not too dry, and the wanton is smooth and the minced meat inside is chewy and fresh as well.  The preserved green chilli is also very fresh and crunchy, which is really flavourful and goes well with the noodles.

The wanton soup is also fragrant but quite salty.  For the price of $4, is still consider reasonable.

Signature ChickenRice Smile Mar 31, 2014

Not because of my friend, I would not have come to this posh restaurant to taste this $30 chicken rice.  The restaurant is cosy and spacious, and the service staffs here are very friendly and polite.

For this set of chicken rice, is really presentable and smells good!  Chicken meat is very tender and juicy, but the portion seen to be too little for this high price. THe chicken rice is very fragrant and not too oily, and the grain are dry and not soggy.  Chicken soup is super fragrant and clear, which is served really hot to our table.

Must have the minced garlic sauce which is flavourful and blend in well with the chicken meat.  for those love to eat spicy food, garlic chilli sauce is a must have as well.

Healthy food Smile Mar 31, 2014

Wanted to pamper myself with some really nice and healthy food from this Soup Spoon outlet at Tampines.  The restaurant was quite small and squeezy, but the area surrounding is still quite cooling.

Had bought the chicken mushroom wrap, which the wrap is quite thin and chewy, which is totally not oily. Inside is filled with generous amount of shredded cabbage, shredded chicken meat and sliced mushroom, super healthy and flavourful.

The clam chowder is served in a thick whole meal bread bowl that is really filling and sufficient enough to have it as a main course.  Paid $23 in total for this bill which is quite alright.
