Now that we do not have to travel all the way to Jalan Kayu to have a taste of their food. Jalan Kayu Prata Cafe is conveniently located at the basement of West Coast Plaza serving Indian Cuisine to suit the locals taste buds. The mutton chop is my favourite out of the 3 kinds I had ordered. I would prefer Indian style of mutton chop as theirs were served and cut into cube size, making it chewable and what's more they had them flooded with the red sweet sauce. The mutton chop is my favourite out of the 3 kinds I had ordered. I would prefer Indian style of mutton chop as theirs were served and cut into cube size, making it chewable and what's more they had them flooded with the red sweet sauce. The Styrofoam box comes in 3 segments where the mains (sunny side up egg & mutton) were placed in the biggest section while the rest are for the sides like fries, tomato and cucumber.
Cost: $5.50

Egg Thosai was flattened and looked out of shape due to that it was being compressed in the grease paper, so as the mutton roti john. They were very generous with the gravy given whereby we were given 3 big packs of gravy for just Thosai and Roti John. Perhaps its the water moisture that had turned these food to turn soggy, that is why it is best to dine in. Nevertheless the taste was still alright less its crunchiness. On a side note, do not get deceive by the color of the gravy, although it was not those "hot & Spicy" colors, they were quite spicy. For those who will sweat easily, please prepare some tissues.

Cost: $5 (Thosai) & $5 (Mutton Roti John )

This Prata Cafe was rather new to me in the mall. Since my colleagues' favourite muslim stall was closed, we had decided to head the mall for lunch. Queue was shockingly long & we had not other choice but to join the queue. Luckily for us, we were dining in a group and some of us went to chope the place while the others queue up. After queuing sometime, the helpers shouted out that those who were ordering rice and briyani to move up to front and that was how the queue was shortened and sped up.

Chicken Goreng Briyani was one of the notable items recommended by my colleagues. Cracker was soft while rice was rather dry and I would expect all items on the plate to be served warm.

Chicken was crispy but the lacking part was that it was not warm enough.

Lime Juice was ordinary - syrup with water and completely soothe the spiciness on my tongue after biting on the hot chilli of my biryani set.
Cost: $1.60

Vadai was sold in the restaurant and was kept in the display by the side of cashier. This savoury fritter-type snack from South India smell of spice and was rather oily.
Cost: $1 Each

Decided to dine here for lunch as me and my friend like Indian cuisine!! Yum yum!!! I decided to order nasi Briyani with curry chicken while my friend ordered maggi goreng! Hahah. we also ordered milo godzilla and nes cafe godzilla out of curiosity!!! my Briyani came first and i ate a few bites before I rmb to take a photo Anw their Briyani was good!! I like their rice a lot as it doesn't have an overwhelming spices flavor (like some other Indian restaurant), their spices flavor was just right

Anw their Briyani was good!! I like their rice a lot as it doesn't have an overwhelming spices flavor (like some other Indian restaurant), their spices flavor was just right for me
I like!! Their curry chicken was also not too bad! Spicy and shiok!!! Only sad thing was that they give me chicken breast meat which I don't really fancy! Anw my friend's maggi goreng took quite long to come! I think they have forgotten abt our order and they only went to cook it after we asked for it!
slightly disappointed about it but thankfully the maggi goreng was nice!!! Haha I like the taste! I also like the drinks that we have ordered!! I realized godzilla means that they will add ice cream to the drinks which means we had milo and coffee float (how awesome can it be
) However, I have to say that their servings were quite small! We didn't feel exactly full after the meal!!!
their prices were standard like other Indian food cafes. Their Briyani cost $6 plus and the maggi goreng was $3 plus and the drinks were $3 plus each? Overall, I like their food and I think I will definitely come here again next time
