My friend has drove me to this famous thai restaurant to have a simple yet really nice and memorable dinner her at Jane Thai.  Along the road way, it is not difficult to locate this small yet prominent thai restaurant.   Inside is filled with wooden furnishings and is quite spacious and cooling. We have ordered their signature tom yum soup $10 and also the stir fry bean sprout $6 to share together.  In 10 minutes both dishes are served to us, which was quote fast.  Tom yum soup was really spicy and flavourful.  Inside is filled with gnerous amount of fresh crunchy pprawns and chewy squid.  The beansprout is also very fresh and crunchy, which is not too oily non salty.  Lovely meal and service was friendly too. continue reading

Specially went to Jane Thai with my friends for some thai food! we took bus and i would say the place is not very accessible. It is best to go there if you are driving or you can go to another branch at Orchard Towers.Fried Kway Tiao! looks good, taste good too! A simple yet nice dish which only cost around SGD $6. yummy!me and my friends shared the tom yum soup (clear base) and it was quite disappointing. not enough spice and a bit diluted. I would prefer nakhon kitchen and aloy thai tomyum soup much better! continue reading

November is an extremely busy month for me with lots of celebration and of course, feasting. I suggested to my family this Thai restaurant to celebrate my birthday after reading reviews from many food bloggers. This restaurant was not very crowded on a weekend afternoon and we didn't need to wait very long for all the dishes to be served. I DREAD long waits especially when you need to queue or wait for more than half an hour with a growling stomach just to get a seat in the restaurant.Hey! This was the first time I was being served rice moulded in heart shape! Ok... it was not because I got special treatment for my birthday, as long as you order rice, you will also get this. BBQ Pork (Moo Yang)- Nicely marinated pork meat, goes well with the special sauce provided.Sauce for the fish being poured over it.Overall, we all felt that the food at Jane Thai was not bad and of course, value-for-money.We wanted to order dessert like red ruby or my favourite mango sticky rice, but on the day that we went, they only served tapioca. As such, we decided to adjourn to the ice-cream stall next door instead. For more photos, pls visit my blogpost:http://ylyn-journal.blogspot.sg/2012/11/my-simple-birthday-celebration-with-my.html continue reading
