I used to always frequent the Jia Xiang Mee at compas point before it closed down. The noodles is really not bad! I like their wanton mee as they are very generous with the char siew and the noodles is not too dry. It is abit pricey, but i guess it is worth it. The food is really not bad

Tried Jia XIang Mee, thought it was average only. Probably cos my expectations were rather high, but it was really so-so only. Thought the noodles can be improved as it was abit lumpy. Nevertheless, all the way Jia Xiang Mee Keep improving!

Finally, I tried the signature Jia Xiang Mee. When the mee arrived, I though the serving was quite little as the bowl was so huge. However, after the meal, I was really full. As for the taste, it was quite ordinary, nothing special about it. The mee is very springy though. If not for the chilli sauce, I would say that it is not worth it to have the mee as it was over priced. The wantons are okay. Maybe that explains why the restaurant is not crowded even though it was during weekend lunch hour.

My first experience there feels as thou I'm visiting a noodle house in a fast-food restaurant setup. Que at counter, order from menu, collect receipt, number tag, drinks and find a seat.

The first glance on their menu.. "Wow" $6.80 for a bowl of their "orginal" Jia xiang noodle. or $9.60 for their premium one.
That is pretty pricey to pay for a serving of wanton noodle.

Nevertheless, I order a serving of the $6.80 and paid up, took the number tag and find myself a seat.
The restaurant was pretty empty on a Sunday morning.
It takes approximately 5-7min before the noodles are being served.

Verdict: Noodle is something special, springy and rather unique. But the sauces failed terribly. It was really bland for my taste bud.
I had to add numerous serving of chili in order make it more pleasant.
The wanton and charsiew serving was more generous than your normal $2.50 portion for sure.

Overall for $6.80, you can find better quality noodles in compasspoint.
