I love to drink koi!!! I was feeling really thirsty from work so I headed to clement koi to order a cold refreshing cup of milk tea with grass jelly in a large cup. I added pearls as well. The pearls serve as a contrast to the smooth milk tea and grass jelly. It is a very refreshing drink and can energise anyone.

I used to think why would people queue so long just for a cup of..bubble tea. Ever since I tried KOI’s bubble tea, I stopped this way, cos now im one of those queueing in those long queues haha! KOI is SUPERB! Love their milk tea with grass jelly. And love how they allow you to choose your preferred sugar level, provides a touch of customization to your drink. KOI, grins ^^

Who can resist KOI milk tea? It is really good for all of us KOI fans that they have expanded into shopping areas like Bugis. Their milk teas are very additive - one try and you will be hooked. What I like is that we can control the level of sweetness in our drink - I have lower tolerance for very sweet things although I love desserts - so the ability to control the level of sugar is great for me.My only grouse is that it is quite expensive especially if you get the special flavours or the ayu j

My only grouse is that it is quite expensive especially if you get the special flavours or the ayu jelly which can go up to close to $4 and also the long waiting time which usually takes at minimum 15minutes.

This is my go-to for bubble tea. Never mind the long endless queue! At Illuma, be prepared to queue up for at least 20mins and about 5mins waiting time to get you bubble tea fix.I always get the Ovaltine Milk Tea, less sugar in Large cos it's just so yummy! It's has that malt chocolate taste that i really love. Apart from that i love the Hazelnut Milk Tea as well. The cocoa Berry is nice too!!

Oh dear, the queue is always very very long. Many students are seen queuing for this popular drink from Taiwan.Quite a variety of drinks available though. The staff is friendly and you could always ask them to recommend you any drink if you are 'lost" in the menu and not sure which drink to order.

Despite the whole Koi bubble tea craze for the past few months, their bubble tea still taste as good and the standard remains. I ordered a Green Milk Tea, at 25% sugar level with less pearls, as the pearls usually fill half your cup of you don’t request for less pearls. The tea aroma of the milk tea is great, and the green tea flavour totally compliments the tea. The milk tea is superb and taste very different from the other brands of bubble tea. It costs $2.40 a cup, quite steep a price I would say if you drink it on a daily basis. For me, I try to cut down on my bubble tea intake by having it once a week.

Waiting time is long, as estimated waiting time is up to 20 minutes on a typical crowded day. Nothing much to praise on the service of staff as their service is just average.

The queue at Koi bugis was really very long. Everytime I went there, the queue would always be this long. But nevertheless the drinks are always worth the wait. One thing I like about Koi is they have different sizes for the drinks, big cup and small cup. With delicious drink, a big cup would not be enough. However, everytime I order the small cup, I would find the pearls a bit too much, it can go up to half of the cup! If they were to cut down on the amount of the pearls, it would be just right!

1. Caramel Milk tea
- the milk tea taste really smooth and milky
- the tea they use is very fragrant
- the caramel flavour adds a little something to the drink, it gives it a popcorn taste
- we can choose the sweetness level hence making it healthier than some other bubbletea shops

2. Hazelnut Milk tea
- the hazelnut flavour is really strong, taste like freshly grind nuts added into the drink
- yet it does not musk away the milky flavour of the tea, u can still taste the fragrance of the tea
- the pearls goes really well with the drink, chewy and yummy

3. Grassjelly milk tea
- want the best of both world? have grassjelly together with pearls? yes, u get it when u order this drink.
- koi are very generous with their crewy pearls and crunchy grassjelly.
- i love the constrast in texture
- not to mention, grassjelly is cooling, ideal for a hot afternoon

dun mind the long queue, the wait is worth it!

Koi cafe (no matter which outlet) will always have at least a dozen of people queuing and I really can't understand why (even after i tasted their bubble tea). Visited koi at iluma on a weekday morning to try out japanese boat takoyaki and koi ice-cream bubble tea. The queue for the koi cafe is lesser ( arnd 5ppl queuing and 20min wait) Okay, while i was waiting for my drink to be ready, i was observing their staff, 3 of them (2 male, 1 female) was young, all quite fair looking (hahas, aiming for handsome guy) but wait, the guy making the bubble tea has long stylish golden hair. My thought, " wa, he quite cool but will the hair drop inside the drink or not?" Just my boring thoughts to kill the time.

A few mins later, oh! my drink is ready. I immediately punctured the plastic film cover and slurped up the bubble tea. After finsihing (but still left with some ice cream), i look inside my drink trying to scoop the icecream and to my horror I end up realising there is a strain of GOLDEN HAIR INSIDE MY DRINK ~faint

That experience onwards i think i won't be visiting that outlet again unless they tie their hair properly. For a fair review (if without the hair), I find that their milk tea has a better quality taste compared to sweet talk and etc and with the vanilla ice-cream, it taste quite special. In addition to that I prefer their their small pearls. But definitely not worth for more than 30 min wait. Maybe is just the trend to drink koi that makes people wait.

Anyway, the takoyaki is more a worth to queue compared to Koi cafe. I had never like takoyaki ball as i think is just eating of flour with a small slice of octopus inside but for this i think it's the nicest takoyaki i ever ate. It has a crispy outer layer and moist in the inner, in addition to that, they have their special sauce top on it. Thinking about it, I'm drooling.
Just don't know why people don't queue for that.

Goodness gracious me. Just look at the insane line at KOI Cafe Bubble Tea at iluma on a Saturday at 4 p.m if you will please! I don’t know if I should say this, but the rather harmless looking stall has got to be the busiest part of Iluma! Goodness gracious me. Just look at the insane line at KOI Cafe Bubble Tea at iluma on a Saturday at 4 p.m if you will please! I don’t know if I should say this, but the rather harmless looking stall has got to be the busiest part of Iluma! You gotta confess that the shopping mall we so speak of hasn’t exactly been bringing in the crowds despite all its arty farty publicity attempts with never-seen-before galleries, concept restaurants and stand-alone fashion boutiques.

Pictured above is their signature Bubble Green Milk Tea! I tried to figure out what the difference between their “Bubble Green Milk Tea” and “Green Milk Tea” was, but I couldn’t decipher, for the life of me, what the counter girl from China was saying.

Singaporeans have little patience, so if a brand can make their customers wait this long in the stuffy weather with no seats to ease the discomfort, it has gotta be better than good. Especially when their tea prices are above the likes of Sweet Talk and others and their staff are unfriendly, prone to mistakes and very monolingual (only Chinese please!).

Besides, that’s not all. The picture displays only half the story where people are in line for payment and ordering. Wait till you see the other part where people are standing around for another 15 mins to collect their order. Let’s do the math here shall we? 15 min + 15 mins = 30 mins! God bless my patient soul! Waiting time differs from time to time and is dependent on the efficiency and number of staff they have at any given moment.

Is this merely another craze that will soon die down? Or one that will continue for some time to come? Let me know what you think! For me, the milk tea is definitely of better quality, but I can’ say so for the pearls and I’m a pearls kinda girl. All in all, I say, it is NOT worth the wait.
