Lai Lai - Kopitiam (Closed)

When I first ordered this curry, I expected it to be thick and flavourful. However upon taking the first sip of the curry, it was not how I expected it to be. the curry was not thick at all, it was kind of watery. You can hardly taste the curry flavor, yes it was spicy but it taste like those spicy soup with very little hint of curry taste. Not the way I like it, maybe I prefer food with a stronger taste.

I was not too impressed with the curry chicken from this stall. I decided to give it a try after seeing a lot of people ordered from this stall and boy was I disappointed. The curry tasted somewhat diluted. It has the spicy taste but the curry flavor was not strong at all. The curry flavor did not infuse into the chicken so the chicken to me tasted pretty bland. i feel so disappointed with the dish.

I've had the curry chicken from this stall numerous times over the years and to be completely honest, the overall quality and quantity of the curry chicken has been going downhill even though it's price has increased significantly over the years. The curry has this thick powdery texture which actually makes the curry dry. The chicken are no longer as tender and nowadays it is tasteless. Overall it is definitely not the best curry chicken around but i often buy from them because it is convenient.

One of my most frequent stalls in Jurong Point Kopitiam! I love their curry vegetables! The curry is spicy and the serving is huge! The vegetables are also well-cooked and soft. If you don't like vegetables, there are also many other types of curry you can choose from! Chicken, fish, mutton and so on... However, they curry gravy they use for all types of curry is the same. So you don't have to worry that the gravy for the vegetables is too thin!
