Lai Xing Fried Kway Teow (Closed)

I was shopping around Ang Mo Kio when i decide to stop by Ang Mo Kio 51 for lunch. Although there are numerous stalls, the Fried Kway Teow looks good so i decided to order a plate. The Fried Kway Teow was served hot. The taste was average and it is a bit too much sweet sauce.

I was disappointed after trying their fried kway teow for the first time. I expected it to be good as they displayed many media clippings. I think they over fried the kway teow till very dry and lacking of smoky taste. The fried kway teow came with fish cake, cockles and chinese sausages. I would rather skip this stall and go for a better stall for a better plate of fried kway teow next time.

I was there during lunch but no waiting required as there was no queue. A little unusual for a supposedly famous stall though. I gotten my order almost immediately. And, despite of the few media clippings on display right at this stall, this plate of fried kway teow tasted rather average. It has absolutely no taste of wok hei. The lup cheong pieces were lacking in fragrance. The kway teow and mee were nicely fried to give it the right texture but i would prefer it to be a little moist though.Thi

Was in the Ang Mo Kio area, so we decided to try the food at S11.The one stall that caught my eye was this one, because it had all my favourites in one.So, we tried the Fried Kway Teow, Fried Hokkien Noodle and Black Carrot Cake.
