Finally, I got the chance to visit Laksania.Laksania is a place where you can find different kinds of Laksa from Penang, Kelantan, Sarawak as well as local Singapore Laksa. They aim to have an innovative menu, specializing in local and fusion dishes with Laksa leaves. Here the table number display advertising their laksa.I had the Iced Lemongrass Tea drink to pair up with my meal as I felt that they are of the best combination, enhancing the taste further.Originated from Borneo Island, Sarawak Laksa is a less spicier and less coconut version of our local Laksa. It comes in shredded chicken and prawn broth paired with rice vermicelli. To achieve such soup base, more than 6 hours is needed to boil in order to bring out the full sweetness of the chicken and prawns.Besides that, ingredients like shredded chicken, sliced prawns, fresh coriander, beansprouts, lime and homemade belachan chili are served on used.It was my first time trying Sarawak Laksa, it had a special tangy taste added with a little bitterness inbetween but the aftertaste was ok. Overall, the service is quite attentive and waiting time is very short. This place serve a one stop place for laksa lovers, gathering all laksa dishes together. I dont mind going back to try other kinds of laksa. For more reviews, visit www.umakemehungry.com continue reading

This plate of delicious and filling laksa goreng costs $8.50 a plate - which is worth the money! There's a hint of sweetness and spiciness and it is also rich in the laksa flavour. The prawns are shelled and fresh. This is definitely one of the best dishes at Laksania! continue reading

This is the Kelantan Laksa ($7.50) among all the other laksa options. I decided to try this as it sounds different and I've never had this before. At first, this laksa looks really unassuming. It looked as if it was just noodles and cucumber strips. However, if you mix the noodles up, you will realize that there is plenty of fish meat at the bottom. Upon mixing the fish meat evenly, the soup is not that watery anymore. To me, this laksa is not spicy at all and children could even eat it too. For the side dish, I got the Laksania Chicken Satay (3 pcs) for $3.90. It was so good! The meat was extremely soft and had the perfect blend of laksa marinate in it. I love it! The satay also comes with cucumbers, onions and a dip. continue reading

Pass by this restaurant which is specialise in all kinds of laksa dishes. Impressed by its neat, simple and clean layout of this restaurant. Not much choices can be found in their food menu. I have ordered their Kelantan laksa, which in less than ten minutes was served to my table by a friendly service staff. The laksa gravy is filled with the nice fragrant from the yellow ginger and shredded fish. Every mouthful can taste the fresh fish meat in in the soup base. The thick rice noodles are also quite chewy with lots of fresh thinly sliced cucumber strips on it, which added that crunchy feel when you eat it. Have it with their sambal chilli will give you that extra kick as well! continue reading

So glad that there is a Laksania outlet in the West which is near my place! I got my usual Laksa Goreng ($around $8.90~$9.90) order. When I first tried it I was hooked onto it because it was so special.. dry laksa! Even though the "chu mee fen" was bland and tasteless, the whole dish tasted flavourful because of the laksa spices. It was moist and not dry too. The prawns were fresh. I also got a 4 piece chicken wing as it only costed $2 with the purchase of a main. Juicy and delectable chicken wing, worth the money! continue reading
