Lau Tan's Tutu Delights (Closed)

this tu tu is supposed to be very good as it's got a long history. i didn't find it particularly good. the pastry was alright, and the pandan leaf made it very fragrant as it was a big, fresh leaf. however, the coconut filling was very dry - so dry that i was choking. also, the tu tu itself was pretty flat, so it wasn't very generously sized. it's also more expensive than other places. but it's not the worst. it's pretty average. i don't like tu tus which crack as all the fillings will fall out.

the tutus here are the most fragrant in singapore. other tutu places make nice tutus but not as fragrant as here. the service can be very slow as the lady only starts at 11am and then the steamer takes until 12 noon to heat up! the filling is a bit dry compared to other places. but it's fresh and well balances. the tutu itself is a bit flat in shape. i like their nice pandan smell and their filling but not a fan of their pastry. their pastry holds up alright in transport and doesn't get too mush

Lau Tan's Tutu Delights! Have always loved tutu kuehs since I was a kid! Love how the fragrance of the coconut and pandan leaf are so strongly present in this tiny piece of kueh. It is also best eaten on the spot after you buy, best eaten when its hot. The kueh is soft and very addictive! Yums!

Great tutus! Also the most expensive I've had in Singapore. $3 for 5. But the tutus at this store are so fragrant, they are addictive and i always have to have them when I am at ION!Some days the quality is better as it depends on which lady is making it. The lady who makes it on the weekends does it much better. She is so professional and efficient and makes it perfectly. She is also very fast.
