Along beach road lies this small restaurant. The place serves 100% vegetarian food items and also sells lots of vegetarian ingredients and products which can be found along the left of the restaurant.Food wise, the items are fresh and there is not much MSG used to cook the dishes. You may like to try their version of curry. Of course, it's spiciness cannot be compared to original, but it tastes just as great as dhal. continue reading

Living Greens is one of my favourite! We tried the Refresher, Autumn Offering, Complexion Cure and whichever weekly special they had offered. The juice is really affordable and convenient for busy working adults. They are delivered to my home depending on my availability. They are really amazing and very flexible in accommodating with any last minute orders. Im impressed! continue reading

I was introduced to this eatery along Beach Road by a friend working at Keypoint who advocates healthy eating. When we reached it was about 7pm and not many customers. To our disappointment, the highly recommended Organic Brown Rice Set was sold out, as most of their customers come during lunch time.So I ordered the Zha Jiang Mian ($7). The noodle was more like linguine type and it came with a lot of mixed vegetables & 2 slices of pumpkin. I had to mix the zha jiang sauce well with the veg & noodles. Tasty! It's very different from the typical zha jiang mian that I have eaten before. The pumpkins were very sweet & tasted like sweet potato. My friend had the Soba Wakame Miso Soup ($7) which had generous serving of sweet corn, mushrooms, celery & pumpkin. She told me she likes it very much & it's not her first time ordering this. But well, I'm not a celery fan so I'm not sure if this is suitable for me or not hehe.We also ordered the Xiao Long Bao as our side dish. The dish was served on a plate - 6 mini xiao long bao, really mini! hehe we kind of regretted ordering this though, as the ginger they put in the dumplings was too much & too strong for our liking. In fact I had to swallow the dumpling in 1 mouthful so as to avoid biting into the ginger & getting the taste "diffused" into my mouth directly. We only managed to eat half of the portion. Lastly, I had the Black Sesame Pudding ($3.50) as my dessert. It was wholesome, not too sweet, & great black sesame taste! Very smooth texture. I love it When you feel like having a healthier meal, you can try this eatery as they serve filtered water at the table and also use it in their cooking. The food they offer is also low in salt and oil. continue reading

Next to Original Sin, LivinGreens is my favourite vegetarian restaurant. I go to the former when there’s extra cash in the wallet, and to the latter when I just want to have a deliciously-healthy (ya, these 2 words are not mutually exclusive, contrary to popular belief) meal without breaking the piggy bank.I’m already a regular here and I’ll always, always order the LivinGreens lasagna ($8.50), which is wheat-, gluten- and dairy-free. Every slice of the lasagna contains fresh tomatoes, green and red peppers, carrots, mushroom, and every slice is lip smackingly good with a well-balanced flavour and texture. This is the most sinless lasagna ever created! My must-have desserts: Avocado Pudding ($4) that combines so perfectly with a syrup of gula melaka and molasses and Black Sesame Pudding ($3.50) that’s incredibly fragrant and has such a smooth texture and clean flavour. continue reading
