Signature Dishes
MOF is one of the place I frequent for reasonably priced n decent jap food and desserts. One of my favorites is the Chicken Toufu. Love the toufu and the chicken on top, hot and pipping and the gravy is good too. It doesn't come with rice so I usually order an ala carte rice. The cold ramen is also one of my favorites, flavorful and springy ramen with a nice proportion of sauce. I cant say the same about their soft-shell crab bento, too dry and one gets sick of it before even finishing half of it. I quite like their drinks. This time, I had the Iced Azuki, not bad but I prefer the Iced Matcha that I had previously tried.

The range of food offered on the menu at MOF is pretty extensive and finally settled on having the Fried Teriyaki Salmon! I was actually craving for either Unagi or Salmon My food was served quite fast even though the restaurant is packed with people! However, I expected my salmon to be of a bigger portion and the taste was just average only. It was a little too salty too but lucky there is the rice and lettuce to sort of cover the saltiness.

We came at around 11am, they just opened, there was no body in the restaurant. We are seated in the 2-seater seat in the middle, in front of the entrance. The seats and table were very small! Anyway we didn't change the seat.I ordered the beef hot stone and hubby ordered some bento box.The beef hot stone was not bad.. my hubby said the bento box was nice too. They do not serve water for free, I think around 40cents for water. The glass they gave us was not so clean. The waitress was not attentive, we wanted to get more water, but found the waitresses were just talking near the kitchen side.I lifted up my hand and yet they didn't notice, until there were another guests, they came and saw us.Overall the food was okay, but I still prefer LENAS compared to this.Ambience was so so.. somehow I do not really like the layout of the restaurant and as I said earlier, the seat was too small!

I went there a few weeks ago with my mother-in-law for lunch on a weekday. We were really looking forward to it as we always see a big crowd and a long queue outside this new restaurant on evenings, even weekday evenings. We ordered a few dishes including sashimi. When the sashimi was served it was really disappointing. It was still a little frozen. Overall not a very good experience.
