Was at city hall area, saw this resturant with American style concept. We started to ordered a lite peppercorn ribs as their signature disk also and special disk beer battered fish. Waiting time was slightly longer than normal possibly inclusive catching step too. HaThe signature disk peppercorn ribs look delicious and well done. There isn't much fats and tender meat. The sauce is good and roasted just nice. This disk also serve with vegetables and mesh potatoes. Another disk beer battered fish was my first taste too. There are no alcohol taste and fish is like cold fish and thickness about 10mm. Very freshness of fish is not doubt about it and serve with salad and Tatar sauce. Both dish serving is just nice for free with a drink. Can try if you like ribs.

For the full review, click here:http://www.chubbybotakkoala.com/2016/04/morganfields-suntec-city.htmlMorganfield's, the popular American food chain originated from America Midwest that are renowned for their soul-food. In particular, their slow-cooked prime pork ribs. At Morganfield's, these pork ribs are also known as 'Sticky Bones', which are slow-cooked and smoked at the same time to achieve the mouthwatering perfections. The atmosphere at Morganfield's represent the era of the 1950 in US. The wall is decorated with red brick theme, blues music are playing in the background, of course not forgetting the yellow colour old style light bulps that light up the place. Our visit to this place was due to my winning of the Morganfield's contest from fellow writer FB contest Camemberu. So the full slab of Hickory BBQ Spare Ribs ($41.90 for full slab) that we had for the night is FOC. The size of the ribs are pretty big, covered about half of their American size plate. The ribs is glistening from the sugar content in their bbq. Each of the ribs is about 20 cm in length. The meat easily peeled off from the bone, complete with smokey aroma covered with tangy bbq sauce. As they use a bigger part of the ribs, the meat has two parts. The one closer to the bone is the juicy, succulent part of the ribs, which we totally love. Meanwhile, the one closer to the soft-bone is dry and chewy almost like pulled pork meat. This part is not to our liking. So at the end, we only finished all the meat closer to the bones. The Sausage Platter ($25.90) got our seal of approval. It consist of four different type of sausages, all made from pork. Each have a different characteristic such as smoky, spicy, cheese and regular. All of them are soft, springy and meaty which complemented the chewy casing. Appetizer Platter ($25.90), consist of Spicy Chicken Wings, Russet Potato Skins & Corn Tortilla Chips served with Crab and Spinach Dip. The wings are coated in buffalo wings sauce, slightly spicy and tangy. The potato skins are delicious, well covered with cheese and diced bacon as toppings. The corn tortilla chips is plain on its own, but definitely well complement the creamy and refreshing Crab and Spinach Dip. For non-alcohol consumer, you should try the Virgin Mojito ($23.90 per pitch). A refreshing combination of soda water infused with fresh mint leaves and lime while chopped lychee provided the sweetness to the drink. The service was friendly and prompt. During the night, all the indoor seat was occupied, so we are allocated the high seating outdoor. The temperature is manageable, however it will be better with more fans or air circulator. Overall, for those who liked smoked pork ribs, Morganfield's is definitely a must try. The taste of the ribs is unique and it is a perfect place for gathering and those special occasions. I personally recommend the sausage platter and virgin mojito as well. Cheers!!

This is not your Man vs Food show. It's the Morgansfield's Christmas Platter ($149.90++) that contains more than enough meat to probably last an individual till the next Christmas. But the good thing is that you don't have to beat the clock to finish this; neither do you have to embark on a solo meat conquest as this can be shared theoretically with 4-5 pax, or realistically speaking, even 6 or more. Full review and pics: http://dairycream.blogspot.sg/2014/11/morganfields-christmas-feast-2014.html Sourced from Spain, Morganfield's showpiece sticky bones have been updated with a seasonal festive touch by tempering it with some American Rogue Hazelnut Nectar. The result is a rich, shiny, dark brown caramelized glaze and the meat underneath has a lovely smoky quality. The best part is the slighty charred crust that has such a smooth malty taste that keeps me nibbling on the crispy edges.Bathed in a reddish hue, the Cranberry Sticky Bones didn't taste as fruity as expected but the bits of cranberry sweetened the deal. The meat turned out to be more moist than the Hazelnut beer, with bits of fat tucked incongruently between layers.I sometimes wonder why restaurants like to serve turkey and not the turkey drumsticks? These two massive Smoked Turkey legs, like a miniature monolith on the plate, has a great chewy texture that makes you want to gnaw all the way down, leaving the bone bare. But I was particularly drawn to the Ham as the mildly sweet juicy honey glaze makes the meat even more appealing to the tastebuds. There was plenty more to discover on the plate with four beautiful bouncy sausages that reclined lazily on each other. Spicy Italian, Cheese, German Pork, each has a character on its own but the Cheese sausage grabbed the attention with delectably gooey cheese spurting out at the instant cut of the knife. White Xmas Sangria $16.90++ & Red X'mas Cooler $8.90++Non-carnivores need not avert your eyes from the plate as there are plenty of greens to balance the plate; soft caramelized onions, steamed carrots, long beans, roasted potato. The Signature cornbread, a crumbly sweet corn muffin with crusty top, fully qualifies as a delicious pre-dessert snack or maybe even as a dessert for some. Add another $9.90 to round off your meal with a Peach Cobbler. Buried beneath a snowball of vanilla ice cream, the mushy cooked-down summer fruits fortified by the buttery crumbs were high in sugar concentration but sometimes desired after an intensely meaty course.Besides the Christmas platter, there is the assorted basket of tender popcorn pork, bratwurst sausages and the beer-candied bacon ($15.90++). The latter tastes exactly like the Chinese bak kwa and makes such moreish bites that one may contemplate ordering just a plate of that for $8.90.Christmas or not, there is always good reason to come for Morganfield's honest-to-goodness sticky bones because the quality still stays consistent as my previous visit. And, my nostrils confirmed this as soon as the meat platter made its entrance on the table, it’s great.Full review and pics: http://dairycream.blogspot.sg/2014/11/morganfields-christmas-feast-2014.html

Listen up, meat lovers! Morganfield's Singapore have opened a new outlet at Suntec City, right beside Promenade MRT! Morganfield's takes after the usual American Diner setting, using mainly black and red in their decor. The spacious outlet is a great place for a bunch of friends to gather and chomp down some ribs while catching up with each other over some beers!Started the dinner with some Candied Bacon ($8.90), which were a mixture of sweet and savoury, with a dash of cinnamon powder on top. They tasted so much like bak kwa and as with all bak kwa, you can't simply stop at one!The Bacon Wrapped Prawns ($15.90) were served next. Unfortunately, it did not taste as good as it looks. Was expecting some crispy bacon wrapping the succulent prawns but it didn't turn out that way. Some Caesar Salad ($12.90) for those who want to act healthy are health conscious? Seriously, if you are at a ribs joint, just go straight for the meat! This got to be one of my favourite dish that night! These Pop Corn Pork ($8.90) would give KFC a run for their money. So crispy and addictive! Tastes soo good on its own even without the homemade garlic aioli and BBQ ranch sauce on the side! The Russet Potato Skin ($9.90) was sadly not as crispy as I wished for it to be. Imagine when you see a dish and you are already visualizing how that first bite will be....crispy, crunchy, savoury.....but when you bite it, it's like *BAM! wake up from your dream*. That was exactly how I felt when I had these potato skins Nobody leaves Morganfield's without trying their ribs! It's like having salad at McDonald's (I can never understand that). We tried The Carnivore ($95.90) which consists of a full slab of sticky bones (we were served half slab), half roast chicken, grilled sausages, grilled corn on cob, corn bread and fries! This can easily feed up to 6 people cos the portion is HUGE. For those of you who just want to try the ribs, go for the half slab ($26.90). There's a choice of Garlic BBQ, Smoke Peppercorn, Tuscan Baked Spicy, Hickory BBQ and Spicy Asian BBQ. The ribs were well marinated and flavourful. The meat was pretty tender and could be easily detached from the bone. You don't have to use your hands at all but eating with your hands always make the food taste better, no?The Bread Pudding ($9.90) and the Chocolate Lava Cake ($14.90) was a perfect end to our dinner. I was filled to the brim from all the savoury food but I just couldn't resist the desserts! I liked that both desserts were not overly sweet and the chocolate lava cake was sooo good! If you do visit, remember to leave some space for desserts!Word has it that Morganfield's is having a 1-for-1 half slab promotion till the end of September at the Suntec City Outlet. They also hold regular promotions like $9.90 set lunch on weekdays which is really value for money. Go try it if you haven't!Morganfield's SingaporeThe Star Vista#02-23Suntec City Tower 4#01-645Special thanks to Juliana for the invite*****Thank you to the kind folks at Morganfield's, I am giving away 2 x $50 vouchers to my readers!
