There's a hodgepodge of side dishes, apart from the usual fried egg, ikan bilis, and fried fish accompaniments.Get the:1) cabbage curry2) fried chicken wing3) luncheon meat ($5)4) Chicken currySkip the:5) Fried egg6) scrambled eggs with onions; these were overcooked and rubberyThe rice was intoxicatingly fragrant but delicate in flavour. I would have preferred it more flavourful. That said, the grains were fluffy and plump, but not slicked with oil, which was a big plus.Get the sambal as well, it's free flow, and lends a punchy heat to the rice.

Rich in the irresistable aroma and flavour of coconut milk, the nasi lemak is delicious, definitely comparable to that of Punggol. The sambal chilli is sufficiently sweet and spicy. The fantastic fried onion omelette is certainly one of the best I have tasted in Singapore. The curry vegetable is delightfully tasty, coated with thick and savory gravy that goes very well with the rice. The fried sotong balls are however rather mediocre, neither crispy nor juicy.In terms of the quality and prices of the dishes, Mount Faber Nasi Lemak is certainly more impressive than Punggol. Furthermore Mount Faber is open the whole day, so you don't have to rush down in the evening just to join the long queue of Punggol.

Upon recommendation from my best friend, I came to try the Nasi Lemak here with a friend.I ordered the exact same thing as my friend except that she got chicken wings while I got the chicken drumstick and I was charged an extra 2 dollars for that!!Taste-wise, I think the food was really normal and the food was very cold!The chicken had too much skin and fats whereas the egg tasted very bland. On top of that, they were both very cold The only thing I liked was the otah which is home-made.Definitely will not be coming back here again!
