Indian foods from Muthu's Curry is definitely delicious and make me craving for more. First time here and immediately attracted by their fish head curry ($25) and also their simple garlic naan ($4). Restaurant is spacious and cooling, service is warm and friendly. Fish head is very fresh and sweet, with really thick and flavourful curry gravy that is super delicious. It is very spicy but is simply flavourful. The garlic naan is soft and easy to chewy. Totally not tough in texture and full of the mild garlic flavour in it. continue reading

For a more detailed review with pictures, please head to http://thehungrybunnie.blogspot.com/2011/06/muthus-curry-restaurant-suntec-city.htmlMuthu's Curry, Banana Leaf Apolo, and Gayatri Restaurant are some of the notable purveyors of this local creation. Muthu's version, like the other 2, belongs to the thick, creamy, not too sour and very spicy type. As opposed to the more assam type of fish head curry. We ordered:1) Fish Head Curry ($25 for medium) with okra and pineapple in a thick, richly potent and heady curry. The fish could have been fresher, it had a lingering "day-old-fish" smell and taste. The curry, while spicy, could have been a tad spicier. Just a smidgen. And with a little less salt. That said, the curry was suitably spicy, and quite satisfying when ladled over piping hot white rice2) Garlic Naan ($4), sans coriander. These were very well done, fluffy, soft and hot, with a delectable chewy bite to them. And a barest whiff of garlicky accent. If I had to gripe, it would be that the bread was really quite overpriced continue reading

We had some overseas visitor who wanted to eat Fish Head Curry, so we decided to come here for dinner. For Starter, we ordered fish cutlets. The fish cutlet is made of minced fish, potato and Indian spices and lightly coated and fried. It is quite solid with a nice bite. The Masala Prawns are medium prawns cooked in chilies, and spices. The fried prawns are fresh and coated with spices paste. If you like prawns and can take spice, I recommend this dish.Curry Fish Head is Muthu Signature dishes. It is cooked in Southern Indian Style, cooked with pineapple and lady fingers. The fish head has a lot of fish meat and lots of gravy which is spicy and sour. This is their award winning dishes. The Masala Chicken has a spicy thick paste coating the chicken. It is like a dry curry and goes well with rice or naans. To go with the spicy dishes, we order Biryani Rice, Kashmiri Naans and Garlic Naans. Biryani Rice light yellow colour comes from Saffron and uses Basmatic Rice. The Kashmiri Naan are Indian Flat bread topped with mixed fruits. Both are a nice complement with curry. continue reading

My first visit. Tried a few dishes there. I love the cheese naan mainly because i like cheese perhaps! It's sweet too! Side dishes we had wedges. Normal nice hot crispy potatoes. Rice was a little dry though mixed with mutton curry and it's fine. The curry is pretty spicy but worth the try. Overall was okay though nothing too fabulous to rave about. continue reading
