Review (1)
My reviews are always based on Location (Accessibility / Convenience), Quality And/Or Quantity, Ambience, Service and last but not least Price.Location. Easily accessible via public transportation as it is nearby the Bugis MRT station and busstops. Good for travellers as well as it is less than 5 minutes' walk from Park Royal on Beach Road Hotel, Village Bugis Hotel and many other hostels offering good rates on a daily basis. If you are driving, it can be a hassle especially during lunch and dinner. But otherwise, it's easy to get there. Rating: 3.5/5Quality / Quantity. Awesome on both points. The quality of the items I ordered (Mix Grilled Platter, Grilled Tiger Prawns, Hummus Bil Laham) were fantastic. But the best was definitely the Mix Grilled Platter which was a combination of Kofta Lamb, Lamb Chops, Shish Kebab and Shish Taouk for only S$33 before discount. Served on skewers and fragrant rice, it sure made my taste buds crave for more of its juicy meat. Its Tiger Prawns were simply delicious. Wasn't too charred and it was just grilled to perfection where it's still pinkish. And with the mushroom sauce, it was perfect. In terms of quantity, this restaurant is very generous. They don't hold back on serving a huge dish for you. Rating: 4.5/5Ambience. What can i say. I thought I was in some Middle Eastern country. Very well decorated and most importantly, fully air-conditioned on both sides of the restaurant (Haji Lane and Arab Street) with some Arabic music played in the background. I noticed that it was a family-friendly environment because there were 3 to 4 groups with toddlers as well. Rating: 4.5/5Service. As compared to other Middle Eastern restaurants in the area, I would say that their service is slightly better. Quite proactive and attentive in serving customers. Chooses the right moment to ask me and the other diners if the food was OK or if there was anything else needed. 3.5/5Price. For a casual dining restaurant, I would say that the price is not too expensive but certainly some items are quite pricey. But I guess, the restaurant sure does know how to make it up to the diner for pricey items by extending discounts for checking-in or for liking their Facebook Page and serving huge portions enough for 2 persons. Rating: 4.5/5Conclusion, a definite MUST-TRY restaurant if you are in the area and the good thing is, I found out that they offer islandwide delivery service via their partner, Room Service Singapore. So it makes it easier for me to order food from home. continue reading
