Mutton Soup
Review (4)
This is my favourite place for Mutton Soup! Out of all the vendors available here, this has to be my most frequent stall. This is my countless time visiting them and they never fail to deliver. The meat is very tender, the soup is pretty addictive with a nice and strong herbal taste and all the richness of the mutton.Apart from that, their unique blend of chilli is appetizing too! It is sour and spicy at the same time which gives a very strong 'kick' for my palate and goes really well with the mutton.More pics and thoughts at http://lepakwithyaops.com/new-world-mutton-soup-a-bowl-of-goodness continue reading

This stalls sells mutton soup from $4.50 onwards, depending on the parts of meat, for example the ribs, the spare parts. Besides soup, there is also mutton kuey teow at $5.50. One unique dish available is mutton meatballs which I have never eaten before. Having mutton soup with meatballs to go with plain rice ($0.50) will costs $6. The meatball is very tender with no hint of the mutton usual strong taste. The chilli sauce to dip with is quite tangy and garlicky. The meat is not bad but I would prefer it to be more tender. Lastly the soup is very flavourful that I finished all of it. continue reading

I am a lover of mutton soup and I have patronised this stall for quite some time. The soup is still pretty delicious but I find the standard seemed to have dropped a little. The soup is cooked with lots of Chinese herbs which I liked. Ginger was also added to mask the weird stench of the mutton as claimed by people who do not like mutton. The mutton is soft and tender which makes it very easy to eat. The chilli for the mutton is very well made too. There is ginger and limejuice in it. The mutton soup costs between $4 - $8. continue reading

We came here past the lunch hour, and the hawker centre is still quite crowded, but definitely not as crowded as lunch and dinner time. We could get a seat quite easily, and went straight to order the mutton soup and rice. There is quite a generous amount of mutton. The meat is very tender, and the soup is pretty addictive. It doesn't have the bad smell, but has a nice and strong herbal taste and all the richness of the mutton. It is very satisfying and I find it quite worthwhile. continue reading
