Yummy char kway teow (CKT). I have been to this stall a couple of times and there was never once where I have never seen a queue. This ranks next to the one I used to eat at the corner of Mosque Street (Chinatown) which had been closed because the son who took over the stall didn't manage to maintain the same standard. This CKT is wet, not too sweet and fragrance (pork lard added). The cockles (for those who love those little shells) are fresh and not overcooked. A must try at Zion Road Food

it was wet, it was flavorful, and it had everything what char kuey teow suppose to have. I must say that Zion road Fried kway teow lives up to the expectations. The combination of all the classic ingredients, and the availability of pork lard of course contributed to the overall “original” Penang ried kway teow taste.

I have been wanting to try this famous fried kway teow at Zion Road Food Centre for a while. And i finally gotten the chance to be near there this afternoon. I decided to pop by the food centre for lunch before headed to Great World City to queue for the ice cream by Ben & Jerry's on their free cone day.

Gotten there slightly after 1 pm. As expected there was a queue of 8 people right in front of the stall but nevertheless, i still decided to join in. I finally gotten my plate of fried kway teow after waited for 20 minutes.

The wait is definitely worth while. The fried kway teow tasted heavenly. The kway teow and yellow noodle were well fried with the distinct woi hei and the generous serving of cockles also not forgetting the pork lards. I will definitely come back for more.

This stall is conveniently located at Zion Road Food Centre, just a stone's throw away from the Orchard Road.

And guess what? I walked past the stall after eating, it was closed to 2pm then, and there is no queue in front of this stall. So yeah, please go after 2pm if you do not want to queue.
