I ordered the larger plate of fried kway tiao ($5) because i queued for about 20 minutes (service was rather slow). The fried kway tiao was fragrant and the pork lard enhanced its taste. The kway tiao had a sweet taste with a hint of the wok's breath. It was also very moist. The various ingredients such as the chinese sausage, beansprouts, fishcakes were fresh too. This char kway tiao tasted above average but I wouldn't queue that long for it again as I find it overrated.

I'm sure that alot of us have heard of No.18 Zion Road Fried Kway Teow as they are given words of praises as one of the best CKT (Char Kway Teow) in Singapore. Comes in order of $3, $4 and $5. Each batch of CKT is cooked based on order. I'm quite surprised that the portion for the smallest order is generous, including its ingredients like cockles, slices of fish cakes, lup cheong (chinese sausage) , eggs and bean sprouts.

Fried Pork lards had completed an authentic plate of fried kway Teow given an additional fragrance. It plays an important role satisfying the taste buds with its unique aromatic flavors. Though it was oily, it did bring out the orgins taste of a simple plate of CKT. The wetness level is acceptable thus making such dish rather addictive.

Sad to say, usually local delicacies that are delicious are sinfully high in cholesterol and fat. However since it is one of the best recommendations, being sinful once in a while is totally worthwhile.

Hill street fried kway teow customised their wok in order to fry the scrumptious dish. Peek through the stall, No 18 Zion road Fried kway Teow seems to use an ordinary wok; can the uncle whip out the fried kway teow as good as the Hill Street fried kway teow or the Outram Park Fried Kway Teow Mee?

Good food only achievable when cooked with the heart besides the right tool, the respect to their own creation is a conceited one, as it makes or breaks the glory in their own chapter.

Few century of fry kway teow experience, the uncle from No 18 fried Kway Teow has undoubtedly mastered the culinary skills judging from the perpetual queue outside of the stall. The kway teow was ladled with lard which is paramount for a umami-laden fried kway teow, may be not too healthy for some or something worth to die for this sinfully flavoursome dish?

The kway teow was permeated with the flavours from the ingredients added, Chinese sausages, Chinesee chives, fish cake, bean sprouts, cockles, eggs and the black sauce. The combination result in a heavenly dish that pleasantly shocked by the unravelled intensity of the flavour. The kway teow was a good mix of sweetness and savoury, amongst all the good fried kway teow, No 18 Zion road fried kway teow is definitely one of the drier versions; however, we prefer it was done in this manner so to enjoy the wok or slight char fragrance that usually only obtainable from frying not too wet noodles, It is the same principle applies to frying a plate of good Hor Fun.
Overall, it was an ordinary dish but turned out to be speculative one and it makes every bit in the plate worth. Fried Kway Teow is a perennial favourite of us, after venturing the culinary skill by the uncle, we concur the proclamation was not hype at all. No 18 Zion road Fried Kway Teow is definitely deserved to be one of the best (or the best) fried kway teow in Singapore.

This is absolutely the best char kway teow I have eaten so far, and is also my childhood favourite. I guess that sort of played a part, cos despite trying char kway teow from other places, none can please me other than this stall. I still like this best! Fried to perfection with a slightly moist texture with just the right amount of dark sweet soya sauce, it's flavourful and aromatic. You can smell the wok aroma from afar. I say it is definitely worth the wait!

This fried kway teow was absolutely delicious! The serving was indeed quite generous for $3, and the kway teow was neither too oily nor dry for any one to dislike. In an essence, it was done just right - well balanced and moist enough. Each bite you take is a savoury one, the hum were fresh and tasty, the fish cakes were springy and the sprouts added crunch to the whole dish.

ordered this Ipoh Hor fun and take away as dinner. it is somewhat like fried kway teow except that it is thinner type. It is really very tasty and fragrant. I love the prawns especially! It is transparent , sweet, juicy and succulent! The noodles are normal noodles not those thick or overly thin ones. This dish is not too wet, kinda dry and oily though but still it is really delicious!

Superbly fried with a rich wok hei flavour, the delicious kway teow is remarkably savory and sweet. While some other hawkers cut costs by using small cockles, this fried kway teow is served with large juicy cockles.Certainly praiseworthy for its outstanding culinary standards, this stall also sells a variety of local cooked food eg fried hokkien mee, fried carrot cake, fried oyster, oyster omelette etc. Come down to Dunman Food Centre and try.

Been eating from this stall since few years back and those days I would come all the way just to eat from this stall. It always been popular and usually there will be a queue. I have not been eating from this stall for a while but seeing the queue was not this long so I just ordered one to pack away. I did find it was not as good as it used to be, it was tasty but just lack of that 'punch' from what I had eaten before.

This is one of the best fried kway teow in Singapore. There is always a long long queue during lunch and you need a lot of patience to queue for it. The kway teow has got a really good wok hei. The kway teow was fried with my favourite lup cheong and also fish cake with very generous amount of cockles. I always requested to add more bean sprouts. It tasted a bit less sinful with extra bean sprouts. I always go back when i feel like eating fried kway teow.

I happened to be in the area with my girlfriend so decided to stop by for some food. we ordered a plate of char kway teow to share. The char kway teow here is indeed good. The kway teow is not too oily. The kway teow was really smooth and chewy. The noodles is cooked well and not too soft. It does not stick to your teeth as well. they are very generous with the egg and cockles. Their cockles are very fresh and juicy. The black sauce they used is really good, makes the kway teow taste very tasty.

Located at the corner stall, it is not hard to spot the No.18 Zion Road Fried Kway Teow though! Thanks to the long waiting queue. The Fried Kway Teow here is definitely worth your wait. The flat rice noodles have an elastic and a bit chewy texture. Stir-fry with prawns, chicken, Chinese sausages and other spices, it has such a good taste with full 'wok fragrant'. Authentic Fried Kway Teow I would say!

A well balance of timing, frying skills, temperature control and a good mix of soya sauce and ingredients results in a fragrant and delightful Char Kway Teow. The Char Kway Teow is not too oily and wet which makes it more palatable. The hawker does not hold back on the use of soya sauce which adds more to its taste unlike the other sub par Char Kway Teow stalls in Singapore. If you pass by Zion Road, be sure to try out this delicious dish!

After my first visit a couple of months back, i have been back in several occasions to eat it and not getting tired, at least not yet.

My favorite ingredient out of this plate of fried kway teow has to be the lup cheong. I do not usually eat it as some of the stalls over fried it and left it with an unpleasant burnt taste but it was done correctly at this stall. It was sliced at the correct thickness and nicely fried to give it a slight crisp and fragrant.

The kway teow and mee were fried well to give it the taste of wok hei distinctively. It was rather moist hence the texture was softer. I liked the generous amount of pork lards added to add flavor to the dish. My partner does not take cockles so he ordered without it but it still tasted really good.

We enjoyed it very much.
