The best time to visit is right after lunch around 130pm. At the entrance, you wait for a staff to hand you a plastic card with a number, look for a table with the corresponding table number and when you make your order. Hand the cashier the plastic card.Everything is nett priced and pretty wallet friendly, it's a Japanese fast food joint. I normally go for salmon pepper rice as I like the chunks of salmon, cooking flat out on the cast iron plate. It can be quite greasy as they place a chunk of butter in the middle of the rice, buried by the corn. Don't forget to help yourself to the brown and honey sauces. continue reading

Pepper lunch is one of my favourite Japanese teppanyaki restaurantThe cool thing is when the food arrive,we can cook it ,This chicken set included huge amount of corn, egg, bean sprouts. Once the food arrived, I stirred it around so that every side of the chicken was cooked perfectly. Chicken was tender and i like to add in their honey brown sauce, which was sweet and tasty. Service was ok, waiting time took about 10 - 15mins. continue reading

It is always the student meal whenever we came to pepper lunch to have our meal.As usual, I ordered the student meal salmon pepper rice.(:Since the first time I tried pepper lunch, I had always liked the concept of flavouring your rice to our own satisfactory tasteMe and my friends would always fill our rice full with pepper and add moderate amount of the garlic soy sauce and the honey sauce!;DI love how the rice taste so nice and aromatic ^^Considering it cost $5.90 for the student meal, I would say it is worth the price.(:The salmons are also fresh and the amount of salmon is reasonable. If there is one thing I have to say I dislike about pepper lunch, it would be the nice but yet strong smell in their restaurant, which never fails to leave my hair full of the smell of pepper lunch :x continue reading

The concept of DIY cooking at Pepper Lunch is rather interesting - you have to cook your food quickly once the food is served to you on the hotplate that is 270 degrees hot! However, I don't think it was worth it to spend so much on this novelty concept cooking so I usually eat there when they are having their students' promotion. From $5.90 onwards, you can get a set with drink plus adding $1 will get one an ice-cream - it's actually what entices me to dine there. My favourite is caramel flavour and I must say that the serving of the caramel syrup is a lot. If one enjoys playing with the food, one may come and try Pepper Lunch. continue reading
