My friend and I both got the Students Special, where we pay $10 for a bowl of Ramen and a soft drink. Both of us chose to get the Spicy Minced Pork Tonkotsu Ramen.First, we were served a complimentary appetiser which wasn't very pleasant (it had a pungent taste to it), hence we skipped it.The Ramen was pretty delicious; broth wasn't as oily as I'd expected it to be. However, the ramen itself wasn't very spicy at all. The accopanying chilli oil condiment at the side didn't help to complement the dish. The onsen tamago was good too as the yolk was runny. A very comforting dish. All in all, the ramen was worth the try, although personally I would only fork out $8 and not $10 for the meal. continue reading
