My boyfriend and I decided to have Kway chap for dinner so we drove to Gek Poh Shopping Mall to have our dinner, that's our frequent place for Kway Chap, it serve decent Kwap Chap at a really good price and of course, it's pretty near our place. I was waiting for my boyfriend to order the Kway Chap while I'm waiting for him to be back. He queue for about 10 minutes, we walked back and told me no more Kway but there is still dishes for Kway Chap so I took a step back and told him, it's okay, we will have porridge and the dishes. He went back to place an order, & he came back telling me no porridge, I took another step back and said, rice would do then. 5 minutes later, he walked back with a duck rice. I gave him a very pissed look because I was pretty upset with the stall owner. I'm ain't sure if he is paying attention to my boyfriend when he is ordering. I was very upset because I was craving for kway chap and the very end, I didn't manage to have it.The duck rice is still awesome though, the sauce is very good however the owner did not gave me alot of the sauce. The rice is good too! It's yam rice, and the taste of yam is there, I still can see chunks of yam! The duck is the best part, chewy, soft and tender! It's really good! Though, I was not able to have my kway chap but the duck rice did fine too! I'm happy with it! (:And it cost about $3 per plate, I feel that the pricing is pretty affordable for a decent plate of duck rice! continue reading

It was my first time dining at this food court actually. The duck rice looked pretty good so I decided to have the $3 duck rice. There's a $4 set that includes peanuts, egg and toufu if I'm not wrong. Anyway, I asked for extra sauce and the sauce was great. It isn't too thick or diluted and has the perfect taste complement the rice. If I'm not mistaken, they used yam for their rice so it has a really nice yam smell which is pretty unique for duck rice. The duck itself wasn't too dry but nonetheless, being duck, wasn't too moist. Thankfully they gave a generous amount of soup, which, by the way, was tasty too. I really liked the fact that it wasn't too bland or too strong. Its the perfect duck rice for a low price actually. Additionally, I received awesome customer service. I highly recommend this stall! continue reading
