Rocky Master

We had a satisfying second round of breakfast at Rocky Masters, Orchard last Monday morning while waiting for the embassy to open at 9am. I had American breakfast which came with  juicy sausages, not so crispy but good enough bacon, hash brown, a piece of ham, mushroom, tomato, cucumber, scrambled egg and perfectly toasted bread. I was given a choice of coffee or tea for drinks but i opted for a hot choco which turned out to be soooo chocolatey yet not too sweet, just perfect for my liking. Nothing spectacular about the American breakfast but i wasn't disappointing nonetheless. There's plenty of room for improvement with regards to plating/food presentation and perhaps they can add just a little bit more of the mushroom and bacon. Big eaters won't be satisfied with their regular portion, i suppose. The hubby who had heavy breakfast at home earlier ordered strawberry cheesecake and apple juice. The cheesecake was sooo good, i am already thinking of going back there to have another slice. It would have been a perfect way to kickstart the week if only the server greeted and entertained is with a smile on his face.…Read More

Really enjoyed having the pizzas here as their pizzas are always flooded with generous amount of toppings on it. For me, I personally love to eat their hawaiian pizza. Lots of sweet fresh pineapple cubes and thick slices of ham are make it really flavourable and delicious. Headed over here for a quick bite during lunch with some colleagues. According to my fellow foodie colleague, the standard has dropped.I had the beef pasta, which has large beef chunks, onions and carrots. The gravy was very little, making the dish dry and quite bland. I had to add loads of chilli flakes in to "save" my meal but alas, it didn't do too well. Rocky Masters has got to be one of my favorite cafe's. I especially love this outlet where its usually quiet which makes it perfect for reading or just a cup of coffee and people watching. I am a big fann of desserts and I must say, the desserts and beverages are beyond exceptional.This time round, I decided to try the Margarita Pizza which consisted of a thin pizza base with an overwhelming amount of chedder cheese and juicy tomatoes. It tasted really good and was really filling.Another must try is their delicious Iced Chocolate (Vouch that its way better then any cafe including starbucks & coffee bean). The iced chocolate is really rich and worth every penny (price increased since the last time I was here )Overall, I loved it. This time round when visiting Rocky Master, I decided to try their eclairs. They looked so tempting in the glass showcase which came as 2 pieces.The eclair had a very soft pastry, there was granche chocolate coated over it. The filling was filled with hazelnut cream which oozed out from the eclair after each bite. The hazelnut cream was not as sweet as I thought it would be which makes a good treat. This cafe has always been one of my favorite places to dine. Not only are their prices reasonable, the food is good too! Their iced chocolate is one of the best I've had and its hardly even $6. I would say its even better then places like starbucks and coffee bean. The chocolate is rich and you can taste the cocoa in it. Another favourite of mine are the blueberry muffins! again, at a really decent price. The staff are really friendly and one can tell that they really enjoy their job which makes it very customer service oriented. It's pretty quiet in the evenings and a perfect place to read a book or go on a date!The only unfortunate thing about this place is the idea that they close early! (8pm if Im not wrong) so its probably an ideal spot for tea. They've got cakes (which I highly recommend), muffins, asian delights, pizza's, salads and pastas.
