One of the main attraction to me on their buffet spread will be their generous spread on the mini cakes. They all looks really cute and the tastes are definitely delicious. Especially like to eat their dark chocolate cake and cheese cakes. The dark chocolate used in their cakes are very fresh and are not too sweet. The cheese cake is also quite thick in texture and full of the natural fragrant from the cheese used in it. continue reading

I walked over to this restaurant to have lunch after a swim at Pasir Ris Sports Complex. As it was a weekday afternoon, the restaurant was only half filled.I went straight to get my drink first, and to my horror, the cup was dirty!I finally managed to find a cleaner cup later after "inspecting" about 6 cups. Then, I went to get my favourite salmon sashimi, and to my horror again, I saw two flies on the prawns(look at my picture), one is still struggling while the other smaller fly was dead! Luckily, there was not any on my salmon sashimi, phew......I am not sure if I am unlucky that day or what, even the plate that I got was stained! haiz......Fortunately, the fried durian balls and fried cereal prawns were very tasty, saved the whole bad experience that I had. Oh, I have to mention that the plates were cleared away quickly too.I used NTUC card on that day and got a ten percent discount. continue reading

People often have the conception of buffets being a great deal as you'd only have to pay for a certain price and then it's all-you-can-eat. That day, I was one of them too. My friends and I went ahead for the Sakura buffet. In there, they've got sushi, sashimi, the grill section, fried food, salads, desserts, cold drinks and coffee and more. Personally, I feel it isn't the best buffet around. The sashimi weren't very fresh and the varieties of sushi were limited. Even the desserts.. the cakes were hard and cold and the ice-cream tasted horrible. The fried food was the best among all the choices though. I guess what you pay is what you get. continue reading
