It has been awhile since I last eaten at Secret Recipe. Anyway at this area where I seldom come, I am not sure what is nice. Today I am having the set meal which costs $15.90++.The set meal consists of a main course of Fish and Chips, which comes with a soft drink and a dessert. The fish and chips is fillet of fish deep fried till golden brown and served with tartar sauce and french fries. Tastes average. The dessert seem to be Vienna Brownies and tastes quite good. continue reading

This is probably one of the restaurants we frequent a lot whenever we can't decided what to eat. Yes, the food ain't fantastic and that is no secret at all but sometimes you just feel like pigging out. Green apple katsuri is a drink that I will ALWAYS order when I come here. I just enjoy the super sour taste of the green apple and sour plum. =]Well, the lasagna I had was obviously pre-made and just heated up in a microwave before serving. You can just tell from the dryness of the dish that it had just came out from the microwave. Don't expect to get quality food here, but it's probably quite a nice spot to hang out and chat. continue reading

One of the trademark dishes of Secret Recipe chain when they first started out and I have not tried it for a long time. Decided to order this while waiting for my daughter's class to end. The gravy was still as savoury and rich and went well with the mash potatoes which was done well with great consistency and not lumpy. The lamb was tender and easily fell off the bone with a fork. With bread, the gravy complimented it perfectly. continue reading

I went to secret recipe for a snack with a friend. I settled for their original chicken Cornish. It turned out so large. Bigger than my palm. I had a hard time finishing it. I love the pastry, it is so crispy and buttery. The filling inside is so tasty. the chicken in the Cornish is not the cubes kind. It is somewhat shredded. It was so filling. I could not eat dinner after finishing up the Cornish. continue reading

It's my first visit to Secret Recipe and I'm not a bit impressed at all.The service was prompt and the staff were quick to lead us to a table. The ambiance is quite pleasant over at this outlet of secret recipe. Most important factor when you dine out - The food !In a summary, it didnt managed to impress me much.1) Chicken Cordon Bleu: Chicken was quite hard and it seem really dried inside.Ham didnt taste like one. Overall its a failed Chicken cordon Bleu.2) Irish Lam Shank: Suppose to be their signature. I had some expectation for the Lamb shank but it taste quite normal to me. Gravy was thick but the lamb itself didnt taste quite fresh to me.I think we would have got our self better food somewhere else. continue reading
