Sometime back we saw on tv commercial (strongly recommended by fm93.3 DJ Pei Fen) about this bbq buffet restaurant, so we decide to give it a try as we were nearby the area. The best thing about the buffet is that it is smoke free without any exhaust fans sucking up the smoke. This is really good as we don't end up having smelly clothes after the dinner. The meats were well marinated, I guess we really had our fill of Pork Belly, Pork Collar & Beef Ribeye. There was some appetisers & hot food that we could either take from the buffet table or order ala-carte. However, we feel that the buffet table seemed like a cheap display & was rather unappealing. Overall food wise was ok only. I guess we won't make a return trip to the restaurant again. There are better restaurants out there with much better & nicer food & yet about the same pricing. continue reading

This used to be the place that very much impress me but I felt that the service standard has slip and the quality of the food is not really there now. These 4 dishes are still alright.A little bland...The coleslaw is totally different from what I used to have. The BBQ meats are not well marinated and in fact too bloody on the plate.Prawns are not really fresh and it takes a lot of time to remove the shell.I am quite disappointed and probably won't be returning any time soon. continue reading

I simply cannot get enough of Korean barbeque. My dad brought the family to Shiu Yakiniku for some delicious Korean barbeque. We went on a weekday so it was $29.80++ per person. There were a lot of side dishes to choose from and many of those were authentic Korean side dishes. There was also seasoned baby octopus, my favourite! There were a lot of barbeque food to choose from as well like the pork belly, prawns, lamb, squid, chicken and beef sausage. It was so delicious. Very worth our money! continue reading

Had dinner here the day after National Day with my hubby. We used 2 vouchers bought from Deal.com.sg for the 18 course Yakiniku Set. Location is a bit confusing and "ulu" but once we found it, was very easy to spot as it is right in front next to the entrance. Car park is easily available, but open-air.Restaurant is nicely done-up and staff are friendly and good service, even opening the door for us when we were about to leave.Food portion was very generous considering we are using vouchers. 2 of us couldn't finish all the food! Quality-wise is very average, the pork and beef cuts were thin and didn't have enough "bite". But the chicken, squid and prawns were all good. Liked the chawanmushi and tori karaage, plus the ice cream I had for dessert was yummy!Overall a nice place and relaxed environment with friendly staff. A fun dining experience. continue reading
