It is rare for me to like catered food but the food all come piping hot!! Even the otah smelled fresh off the bbq pit!! The fried Mee siam wasn't dry, and tasted pretty good! The otah had a nice burnt taste to it and didn't taste too artificial like some others from other catering companies. And this still comes in a leaf, most other companies have resorted to taking them out of the lead or just placing them in aluminum foil containers. The drumlets were crispy and tasty! I enjoyed the drumlets! The black pepper fish had tons of mushrooms and it was not too peppery and it was savory. The fish wasn't mushroom and almighty crispy on the edges. The fruit cocktail for dessert was refreshing and was what we all needed after a long talk. Sadly there was no jelly in it, but I found it abit too diluted.

I attended a workshop and refreshment was served. The refreshment was provided by Smiling Orchid. The table setting arrangement was neat and well decorated with flowers. Even the fruit bar comes in 3-tier tray just like attending Hatia Restaurant high tea. I had dried mee siam. The mee siam was not spicy. There were slices of boiled egg decorated at the side for those who want to have egg. There were curry puff. The curry puff was puffy and the filling was not thick. The carrot cake was soft and could taste of carrot. The siew mai was wrapped with soft wanton skin and chicken meat. The steam layer was soft and easily eat layer by layer. The Mango Pudding was not sweet. There was not strong colouring added. It looked natural. The fruit tray was attractive with guava, grapes, papaya and white honey melon. The fruits were fresh. One unusual thing was there hot beverage was served with condened milk. I enjoyed the meal.

As I pass by another department in my company, I was offered some catering food as they ordered too much. Not to disappoint my colleague, I have accepted a few portions and distributed them to my department.I was given a piece of Pandan Kueh (middle), Char Siew Pau (Left) and some pancake with stuffing.Out of curiosity, I opened the pancake and take a look at its fillings. Quite interesting indeed. It was a combination of chopped beans, carrots and mushrooms. I quickly fold them back and pop it into my mouth. Not bad though it was cold.I took the Pandan Kukueh, give a big bite. All I can say is that I'm full of regret. Hardened and tastes artifical and decided to threw the leftovers away.I had the char siew pau as the last, it was hardened as well, my colleagues told me to peel the pau's skin off so it will be softer but after peeling everything, it was still as hard. It contains mocked char siew and was tasteless, we couldn't finish them and send them off to the bin!
