I was at Yew Tee and decided to just have my lunch there instead of going back to Jurong Point. I ordered the lotus root soup with rice. The set costs me $4.50 if I remember correctly. The soup is very tasty though I guess it is due to use of salt instead of much of the taste being from the lotus root and pork ribs. The ingredients are quite little too, there is only around two pieces of pork ribs and the pork meat is a little tough to chew as well. The lotus root is quite alright in that it is sliced quite nicely, not too thick or too thin. Overall, I would rate it is just average. continue reading

My mother was busy with work lately that she did not have time to boil soup for the family. So instead, she took away soups from Soup Master for us to drink. She said the weather is pretty bad and herbal soup is good for us. She got us the lotus pork rib soup, it is supposed to be good for lungs. The soup is very thick, can taste that they boil it for hours. There were dried cuttlefish inside the soup to add sweetness to the soup. the lotus despite being boiled so long, still remain crunchy. it was really good for cold weathers. continue reading

I decided to take away some herbal soup for dinner as the weather has not been so good recently. After looking at all the health benefits of each soup, I decided to settle for the Lotus Pork Rib soup. I took away the soup with an additional package of rice. The soup was very thick. It was so tasty. I love the peanuts that they added into the soup. it was soft and had already soaked up the soup so it tasted pretty good. there were quite a number of pieces of pork ribs in the soup. the pork ribs were very tender and tasty. it went well with the chilli padi. continue reading

There are plenty of soup choices in this stall, all seems to be very good. I ordered the apple soup with pork ribs. The soup is very clear, not too oily like some stalls around. The natural sweetness of the apple is very tasty, the pork ribs add in extra meaty flavour to the soup. Instead of plain rice, I had the pumpkin rice. It tastes fragrantly yummy, and it's definitely a good healthier choice. continue reading
