had lunch at tekka market during meal break, chanced upon this stall and decided to try it. very great tasting teochew food, tasted like how my granny used to cook for the whole family. must-trys: sesame chicken, stir-fried leek, steamed sea bass, braised mackeral, braised pork trotters. price is reasonable with generous servings. spent around 10+ for 3 people.

I don't normally hang around this area but because of some errands I had to run, I decided to have a meal here. Porridge is always a comfort food and I thought of trying teochew porridge since I'm a teochew. The porridge consistency is quite diluted, I personally prefer it a little thicker. I ordered some vegetables and they all had a home cooked feel to it. For instance, their cabbage and kia chye was not too raw. The salted eggs tasted nice as well.
