We went for the afternoon tea buffet at Rose Veranda which is a small and cozy café on the second floor of Shangrila Hotel. The interior décor is very elegant and the HUGE array of teas they offer is simply mind blowing. Food wise, the foie gras was fantastic, so were the crème brulee, curries and roast beef. However, the truffles did not taste nice and their sashimi selection was very limited and did not look good either. Additionally the buffet spread was so small it took only 2 rounds to fini

Food wise, the foie gras was fantastic, so were the crème brulee, curries and roast beef. However, the truffles did not taste nice and their sashimi selection was very limited and did not look good either. Additionally the buffet spread was so small it took only 2 rounds to finish everything.

I did not feel the meal was worth the amount of money spent, however given the ambience, I would recommend Rose Veranda to those who have small appetite, the cash and are looking for a nice relaxing afternoon sipping tea and taking small bites.

My friends told me that this was the best high-tea buffet in Singapore, and to my surprise, even after calling 1 week in advance to book seats, it was fully booked! Hence, I was convinced at first at its popularity, until I managed to get a look at that place myself one fine day. We were welcomed to large sofa seats which was a pleasant surprise. We were welcomed to large sofa seats which was a pleasant surprise. However, upon reaching the cakes area, there wasn't a lot of selections as I had expected. In fact, I didn't eat much there as there wasn't much that were really delicious. One good thing was that they had a lot of different kind of tea, about 100+, which is great, if you are a tea lover.

Overall, there is a great ambience to chill out with your friends to have a nice tea, but if you are looking for something more in your high-tea, I would suggest you try some place else.. else, it's a good place to hang out and relax with your friends.

Rating for tea and dessert at Rose Veranda is 9/10. I would definitely come back for more. Been here a couple of time already. Hi-Tea at Rose Veranda was awesome. Variety was alright, not fantastic, but I would say the quality of the food was really good! The sweet tooth of mine was definitely satisfied after the meal. A quiet and peaceful place for chillout, with the comfortable armchairs and a less crowdy setting. The tea spread was good as they offer a choice of 120 teas. Definitely great for

A quiet and peaceful place for chillout, with the comfortable armchairs and a less crowdy setting.

The tea spread was good as they offer a choice of 120 teas. Definitely great for girls gathering, whereby you can chit chat and catch up over different flavours of tea with nice savories and desserts.

Time slots for the tea session is from 11.30 - 6pm. This gives you ample time to savour the tea and desserts with sufficient time for the stomach to digest the food.

Price is around $38++/pax. Credit card discount applies at times.

Service is alright, as the waitress would take a while to address your needs when there is crowd.
