I passed by umi sushi on the way to the mrt station, decided to grab a box of sushi. Not many sushi joints actually sells lobster salad sushi so whenever I passed by one that sells, I will not hesitate to grab a box. The lobster salad sushi that umi sells taste really good. You can actually see the lobster pieces on top of the sushi. They mixed the lobster with fish eggs, mayo and a tinge of wasabi. The wasabi adds some hotness to the sushi. The mayo is very light and refreshing. The fish egg gives the sushi a crunch texture. The lobster they use are really fresh, very juicy and crunchy. the rice is very sticky but goes well with the lobster salad. Really enjoyed it. continue reading

Once in awhile when I feel like getting a quick Japanese meal, I would pop by umi sushi for their bento box meals which give you a choice of saba fish, beef or chicken as the main dish. I enjoy their saba fish meal the most. Although the fish may not be sizzling hot like those served in the food courts, the fish is still really tasty! They have other side dishes like mashed potato, some pieces of vegetable and green jelly. They serve short grain rice in this meal. You can try their chawanmushi as a side order too! Fast Japanese Food! continue reading

I bought their lobster salad sushi back. It tasted real good like those of sakae sushi. Enjoyed it... continue reading
