Came here for several times and already try this and that, still the 1st time i ordered is may fave, the cracked pepper mayo. Cracked pepper mayoits a whole wheat burger with fresh crispy cabbage and fried patty with egg and dairy free mayo. Sweet and savoury in one bite. Must order this, and will always order this everytime im coming to veganburg.Hawaiian teriyakiI was having a sore throat and decided to try non fried patty. Burgers consits of whole wheat bun, pinapple ring, fresh lettuce and pan grilled patty. I expect the patty will taste like those teriyaki marinade on the market, rich and savoury. But sadly it doesn't (or maybe because im sick so my tongue become dull), it taste a bit bland and i dont like the smell (maybe like herbs?).Old School Hot DogCurious of how vegetarian hotdog taste like, i ordered this dish. Size a bit small, their burgers more stuffing. After one bite, curiosity kill the cat. Will not reorder this on the future. In my opinion it taste like lots of chemical substances.btw, their seaweed fries is so damn delicious and their chilli sauce is the best amongst any fast food joint in singapore. continue reading

A night in the East side of Singapore had given us a chance to visit Vegan Burg in Jalan Eunos. With founders believing that plant-based diet is environmentally sustainable, they try to inspire and influence the world around with vegan diet into their lifestyle.I particularly like the benches they had as it was decorated with faux grass patches. It really matches the theme of eating greens and ambiance created in Vegan Burg was like dining in the garden, a special kind of feeling like having a picnic. The Advertisement splash on their wall had given another view towards having burger. If you think that having Fast Food is consider as junk food, perhaps you have to head down here and understand more about their burgers.Self service is observed in the restaurant and with the help of the buzzer system. Besides dining in Vegan Burg also offer services right to your doorsteps, in case you are craving for Fast Food and do not want to feel so sinful, this is another option for you. There are 3 kinds of chiller available to choose from if you are having a set meal. They comes in three different color where by the green represents the Citrus cooler, the orange represents the mango sunrise and pink represents the passion fruit drink. However, there are no free flow of the chiller but you have to pay $1.40 per cup if you want it to be refilled.Interestingly, I would never have thought that my burger would be served in a mass tin with grease paper. Burgers and the choice of side was served in it. A good thing about the burger was that it was half wrapped and enable patrons to grab from the mass tin immediately and pop it into the mouth conveniently. Assorted vegetables were included in this vegan meal. For those who are not taking onions, their friendly service will ask if you want them before the burger preparation.Seaweed fries on the other hand were special, they were fat and yummy. Though they were not that crispy like the common fast food joint, you can really taste the authentic use of potatoes in it.Tangy Tartar were half wrapped and standing vertically on the mass tin. Just like the Smoky BBQ burger, the buns came along with whole meal grains which is healthy. The regular shape patty had signs of dryness. From a non-vegetarian point of view, the burger with was pretty good even without the use of meat.Topping up my meal with their Granny's Soup. I was in luck during that day of visit as they purposely prepare this cup for me as their last batch of soup had sold out. The soup's texture was more like a paste but it was fragrant infused with herbs. Flavours of mushroom were adequate, a concentrate soup more than I have expected.Overall, it is a good experience having the so called "fast/junk" food turning into a healthy diet. For more food reviews, visit www.umakemehungry.com continue reading

This fast food restaurant is very unique as only vegetarian food are sold here. For me I love to snack the foods served here, especially getting a box of spinach balls is already good enough to satisfy me. The outer layer is very crispy.and the generous portion of spinach filling really fragrant and not too oily. For only $3.90 is considered quite reasonable. Staffs here are friendly as well. continue reading

My friend has been itching to check out VeganBurg and being east-siders, their main outlet at Eunos is quite convenient for us! We both ordered the set meals, which comes with a choice of side and drink. There is a range of burgers on their menu and I got the Smoked BBQ Burger, which is essentially rye bread with wholemeal grains, oven baked mushroom patty with tomato and alfalfa. My friend got the Cracked Pepper Mayo, which is a different bread from mine, the organic ciabatta bread, and consist of walnuts, sunflower and pumpkin seeds. The patty is made of soya and is filled with rich and creamy mayonnaise. For our sides, we chose the spinach pops and seaweed fries! Both are yummy! Overall, a pretty tasty healthier option to satisfy you fast food craving! continue reading

Vegetarian food has never been appealing for me though I love vegetables and salad. But the idea of mock meat is kinda artificial However, after much convincing persuasion from my friend whose favourite burger place is none other than VeganBurg, I relented. Headed there on a Saturday morning, filled with doubts, especially when the place is situated relatively remotely at Eunos, I left the place brimming with satisfaction hehe ^^And so why would I say so? Firstly, it is a healthier version of fast food, but yet food is only prepared upon order. And this is the first vegan fast food chain, so everything is plant-based only. Had the set meal of Creamy Shrooms Burger with Broccoli as side dish and the Citron Cooler as drinks ($ 11.80). The drink was very refreshing. I like that the burger bun has a toothsome texture rather than the usual soft white bread. The patty with the mushrooms topping tasted altogether simply wholesome though I could not really tell what was used to make the patty. Probably some beancurd skin thingyOn the other hand, my friend had the Hawaiian Burger set. The pineapple slice was juicy but the patty had a strong mock meat taste. I prefer the Creamy Shrooms better Overall, food is good and fresh while it is also a fresh idea to eat plant-based fast food. Even the seats are covered with fake grass LOL but it can get a bit prickly if you aren't wearing long pants. Bright fresh atmosphere complements perfectly with healthy wholesome 'fast food'. But food wasn't that fast either, was in fact only prepared upon ordering. continue reading
