I was glad that buddy *Gareth suggested The Wine Connection Tapas Bar when we were due for a chillout cum catching up session.We shared some light bites between us, starting from the Cheese and Ham Platter. There were crispy grained toasts, 2 cheeses and 3 types of ham on the platter, with some vegetables and pickles. I am pretty sure one of the cheese was brie, though I could not be too sure about the other one. Overall, it was still an enjoyable platter of nibbles to go along with our wines.Next, Lamb Kofta, which held a totally tasty taste of lamb and spices, well-grilled with hints of smokiness to the aroma; the minced lamb was tender and juicy, not hard at all. It was utterly delicious.Drinks-wise, I started with a glass of Rosé Wine from Provence, France and then switched to a glass of Bordeaux during the chilling out session, enjoying the mild sweetness of my first drink and then the slightly heavier-bodied Bordeaux's smokier charm. *Gareth started with Champagne followed by a glass of white wine thereafter. Overall, I really enjoyed the ambience, food and wine at The Wine Connection, and would be back for more. It boosts of a quiet atmosphere for catching up. Was specially here with my friends for dinner after reading the reviews for this place. We were lucky to get a seat immediately after we reached. Do note that they only take reservations for seating before 7pm. Smoked Salmon Pizza was a great disappointment. It is a new dish as indicated on the menu. The pizza isn't warm and the salmon doesn't taste nice and fresh. Also, some of the slices only have a tiny bit of salmon instead of the entire piece.On the other hand, Grilled Duck Breast was good! The meat is tender and very chewy. I love the sauce too. There are also potato and carrot as sides and the potato taste good together with the duck meat. Overall, i find the ambience pretty good, very suitable for group gathering. Next time i will be back for the wine

Always thought that Wine Connection is a place for drinks but i was wrong. They served good food too. Braised Lamb ShankQuite a huge portion. The lamb shank was served with some vegetables and mash potato. The meat was tender and the sauce that comes with it makes the lamb shank very tasty. Hawaiian PizzaCrispy Crust with tons of ham and pine appl Pork SkewerFresh, Juicy pork served with potato ( with cheese). Very nice!

The place is very conducive for group gatherings, special occasions or chill out with friends. The Bar is spacious and for dining, they can accommodate a lot of guests.The steak there taste good and i like most the thin pizza.My friends and I enjoyed bottles of champagne while waiting for Christmas and they house nice music so you don't really get bored. The place is clean and they have a lot of service staff to attend to your needs immediately.

Wine Connection Tapas Bar & Bistro is located in Robertson Walk. I am a big fan of the bistro as they serve really interesting desserts and tapas. I ordered my favourite dessert, blueberry custard cake. It is interesting as the base is made of crumbs and custard and topped with a layer of blueberry. It tasted awesome, for only a reasonable price of $5.90. The ambience is great for chill out with friends.
