Signature Dishes
Another disappointing attempt to have lunch in this food court. I decided to have the XO Bak Chor Mee this time. I wanted Mee Kia and requested to have an additional amount of chilli added. A basic bowl of noodle is priced at $3.80. I was the only customer there then. The lady that received my order started cooking it. It took her a while to cook it as she stopped for a bit to chat with her fellow colleagues. Then, she continued cooking it but stopped and started chatting again. And, i finally got my order. It was served with a piece of deep-fried wanton skin and slices of lean meat with a handful of minced meat and some braised mushroom. First mouthful and i could not taste much of the XO sauce in it. Though requested for extra chilli to be added but i could not taste any spiciness too. The texture of Mee Kia was a bit too soft to my liking. The bowl of soup that served along was rather bland too. This disappointing experience shall be the only time here.
