I was walking along Katong and found that most of the cafe sells western food. I wanted to have local food during Lunch, hence I walked to Katong Shopping Centre basement foodcourt. The varieties of yong tau foo in this stall was many until they need to put out another table for customers to choose the ingredients. I chosen 10 items and it cost $5. The fried Yong Tau Foo items were deep fried, piping hot and crispy after cooked, unlike other stalls that drenched into water to cook. I find the dark sweet sauce was more salty than sweet, I should have put lesser into the Yong Tau Foo dish. There was a small bowl a soup given for ordering dry version. The soup tasted of soya bean and sweet meat broth.Overall, the Yong Tau Foo was good due to the freshly deep fried items.

The store was not really eye catching as compare to other store in the coffee shop. Initially I was only taking a quick look from a far distance. But someting caught my attention... luncheon meat! While I was choosing my food, I realise they have a really great varieties. I love the dumpling that is wrapped with vegetables ( as shown in the pic) .This is something that I have never tried before. Normally, I can only see fried wanton in other stalls. Not only that, they also have battered chicken drumstick.Besides, the meat ball was also big ( same size as sotong ball) as compared to most places. I took 7 items in total, it only cost me 3.60. So I assumed the battered chicken is considered as 1 item. So cheap!
