Made a trip down to 1 Rochester, which houses a cluster of black and white bungalows converted into cafes and restaurants. 1 Caramel occupies one of these beautifully restored bungalows. We settled for weekday brunch here and there were many all-day breakfast items to choose from. I had their "$18++ set" which promises a creamy mushroom soup, served with a choice of main and mini cake. Sounded like a great deal. Service wise, although there weren't many people dining during the time of my visit, I still found it difficult to get the attention of the waitresses who didn't seem very attentive. Nonetheless, once I got their attention, they were rather pleasant and polite.
