For just $2, you can order a plate of roast chicken rice from the south canteen. Help yourself to the cabbage soup on the left. You can also ask for a chicken thigh which makes it $2.50. The uncle is very friendly and the rice is very fragrant. Quite a decent plate of chicken rice, better than the Ah Tai chicken rice I had at Maxwell last week!! At only $2, this is a steal. At only $2, this is a steal. The skin is tasty and the meat is juicy and succulent. The meat isn't dry. The soup isn't too salty or ladden with MSG. I didn't feel thirsty after this simple meal. I would definitely give this another go in the future.
They also sell chicken porridge at just $1.20 a bowl!
