I went to get a birthday cake for my Grandma's 83rd Birthday. I wanted the Old Polar cake on the display shelf but i realised there was a thumb-sized dent right at the corner. I enquired whether they have another one. They tried to convince me to take that particular one as they left with just that. I was telling them about this thumb-sized dent but they denied it was due to pressing too hard during the process of handling that caused it. They kept insisting that it was part of the design work w
They kept insisting that it was part of the design work when applying the peanut coating.
I decided not to get that one. I will still have to get a cream sponge cake as grandparents did not enjoy those fanciful designed mousse cakes easily available in most of the bakeries. I was recommended with this particular vanilla cream cake. It looked alright at the first glance so i decided to get it.
I only realised this was not a perfect birthday cake when gotten it out from the box after the dinner. It did not even have a perfect round shaped which is the least of the expectation. At that particular part with the imperfect curve, the coating of white chocolate curls was falling off. When looked at it carefully, it has got a hole indented.
As a paying customer, i should deserved the best ever service offered to make my experience a perfect one. And this particular unpleasant incident is gonna chase me away and not returning.
It was a simple sponge cake with cream and it tasted a little too sweet to my liking.
